I followed to see where he had gone, and he was waiting and watching for me in the woods just beside the yard...
He had a message for me from God:
And after a week filled with some difficulties and uncertainties and even some unhappy news, this message was very much welcome...
Sometimes we need to stop right where we are and..."BE STILL...and KNOW THAT I AM GOD! "
Yes, my friends, even when we get bad news or are in the middle of difficult circumstances that seem beyond our control, stop and take a deep breath...whisper a prayer to the Lord...and know that He is there...He hears you...He sees you...and He is in control always.
Tonight I would like to request prayer for a loved one who has received a very serious diagnosis this week and will be undergoing some intensive chemotherapy for the next four to five weeks without being able to go home from the hospital. We know that God is able to bring healing and total recovery, but it is going to be a difficult battle and strength is needed to stand strong. Thank you for standing with us.
Will be praying for your loved one.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteGod sends you deer missionaries! ;-)
ReplyDeletePraying for your request.
:) I know! Isn't our God an awesome God? Thank you for your prayers. That means a lot.
DeleteAdd my prayers to yours for your friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Terri. I do appreciate that. I will tell you more about this later.
DeleteHabakkuk 3:19 say, "Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength, And he maketh my feet like hinds' feet"; an that is in the face of a lot of bad news earlier in the chapter!
ReplyDeleteThe Lord bless you and your loved one!
Praise God, and thank you for these words and prayers.
DeleteWe had one of those weeks. A good friend from church lost his battle against cancer. And good friend has a brain tumor. Pastor Andrew Brunson stayed imprisoned in Turkey. And then the ongoing mob violence that passes for the national news media, and the politics that's tearing our country apart. And yet, there's plan. And He's in control. Always.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for these words of comfort in the midst of the "madness". You are so right about the "mob violence", etc....that is an ongoing battle that I pray God will find a positive way to quell. Yes, He IS in control, always... So very sorry to hear of your good friend losing his battle with cancer, and then another friend with a brain tumor. Oh, dear Jesus! I pray that YOU are coming soon to take your bride, the Church, home to heaven....but we know there is still much work to be done here on earth first. Praying for your friend. My son had a brain tumor, and miraculously God healed him. God does work in mysterious ways...we don't always understand it...but we can trust Him. Amen?. https://pamelasopenwindow.blogspot.com/p/gods-perfect-timing.html Check this link for the story on my son's brain tumor.
Delete"And then the ongoing mob violence that passes for the national news media..."
DeleteHaha...it is a mob, isn't it?
It sure is. Don't even like to watch it anymore. Who needs all that added stress? Not me!! But then, I'm afraid I'll miss something important if I don't watch...i yi yi....
DeleteHow precious that the deer stood beside the sign with such a powerful message from the Lord when you needed to hear it the most! Truly a message straight from the throne room on High! God speaks to us in amazing ways like this, and how comforting it is to know that in Him, all is well! Is your family member a believer? Will join in prayer with you that modern medicine, and the hand of the Lord will join forces to beat back this cancer in Jesus name! Hugs and blessings to you sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marilyn. Isn't our God an amazing God? He loves to surprise us with His messages of comfort and blessing when we need it most. It is wonderful to see this and to know He is with us all the time.
DeleteOur glorious Lord and His mysterious ways....We never know where, when or how we'll hear from Him...
ReplyDeleteMay He strengthen and comfort your
loved one as only He can.
Thank you, Linda. Yes...Our Lord does work in mysterious ways...and it is a joy to us to discover that when we are paying attention!!! Thank you for your kind words and prayers.
DeleteOk, will join in prayers. Nice that the deer was a "shliach" or emissary for God. Its very sweet how God uses so much of his creation for our good.
ReplyDeleteThankyou, Annie. Yes, it is amazing what we will realize if we just pay attention to what God is showing us. I found great comfort in this, and know that God wants me to know He is there...no matter what is going on around us. Such a blessing to know this.
DeleteLifting your loved one up in prayer, Pamela. So glad gave you His message of comfort as the deer led you to follow. How great is our God!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
