Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!
What Do You See Outside YOUR Open Window Today?
Remember: "When God closes a door, He always opens a window!" You never know what might be out there waiting for you!

What Does God Do? - Revisited

Original Post:
During our morning devotions today I was struck by several things that God does (among many other things, but I will only list a few here today)
Exodus 3:7 (While speaking to Moses from the burning bush)
"And the Lord said:
I have surely SEEN the oppression of My people who are in Egypt;
and have HEARD their cry because of their taskmasters,
for I KNOW their sorrows."
So, we have a God who can SEE, HEAR, and KNOW His children...
And from Psalm 103:3-8, We have a God who....
Who FORGIVES all your iniquities,
Who HEALS all your diseases,
Who REDEEMS your life from destruction,
Who CROWNS you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who SATISFIES your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord EXECUTES righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
He MADE KNOWN HIS WAYS to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.
The Lord is MERCIFUL and GRACIOUS,
SLOW TO ANGER, and ABOUNDING IN MERCY.
There Is None Like You Lyrics (By Lenny LeBlanc)
There is none like You,
No one else can touch my heart like You do,
I can search for all eternity Lord
And find, there is none like You.
There is none like You.
No one else can touch my heart like You do,
I can search for all eternity Lord
And find, there is none like You.
Your mercy flows like a river so wide,
And healing comes from Your hand.
Suffering children are safe in Your arms,
There is none like You.
There is none like You, ( There is none like You, Lord)
There is none like You.
I can search for all eternity Lord,
There is none like You.
I can search for all eternity Lord,
There is none,( there is none,)
There is none Lord,
There is none like You.
Amen
I Kings 8:22-23
"Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;
And he said: "Lord God of Israel, THERE IS NO GOD in heaven above or on earth below like YOU, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts."
A mighty and gracious God, indeed, Pamela. How blessed we are!!! And wow, your photos! Absolutely gorgeous, my friend. Those and the Scriptures made my day. Blessings!
Pam, I loved this! Thank you for your observation from your morning devotions of the things that God does. It has given me inspiration for a different angle when reading His Word. Your pictures are beautiful. Have you ever used your photography for greeting cards? You really should because they are just beautiful. xx
Thank you Dianna. These words just stuck out at me this morning as I read them. It was so clear what our God does for us! Sometimes we overlook these things. I'm glad God pointed it out today. As far as printing pictures goes, I do not have a really good printer...the ink is SO expensive, so I rarely print pictures. Once in a while I do when I have a fresh ink pack installed. I've considered it, but just can't afford the ink or the new printer I'd need to make it worthwhile. So, my "greeting cards" are here, online, for all the world to see and enjoy! Thank you for your words of encouragement. You are like a beautiful greeting card to me today!
This was just wonderful. The photos go along so well with the thoughts. They rely on the Lord for everything and he sees them and knows their condition.
Pam, another amazing post. What a mighty God we serve! I'm so thankful to have a God who knows me, cares about me, and loves me--even when I'm a mess--especially when I'm a mess!
You were sure blessed with God's beauty on your walk this morning! The deer are so majestic and gentle looking. Thank you for the scripture and lyrics. Lovely.
Pam: "for I KNOW their sorrows."Yes, God does know our sorrows. He is with us as we go through each of them, no matter how great our loss may be. I love it that you share your morning walks with us.
How lovely is His creation! Thank you so much for sharing this again. The scriptures are just what I needed to read/hear. Have a wonderful day! Blessings, Linda
I am so glad that you visited today, and that God blessed you with His comfort and peace. I think we can all use some of that in these turbulent times.
I am so glad this gave you that comfort and calmness...in this world of chaos it is always good to be reminded of the Peace that comes from knowing God.
This is a beautiful and inspiring post. This is one of the songs sung at my son's funeral. It reminds me that there is no one like our God, but also God says to each of his children, "There is no one else like you!"
Thank you for visiting here today. I would love for you to sign my guestbook and let me know you stopped by. I always enjoy reading your comments and words of encouragement! May you be blessed as you go on your way. Please come back and visit again soon.
