I've never really done a "wordless Wednesday" post before. Is there a group I'm supposed to link up to? I don't know how to be "wordless", as most of you can tell by now. But here are a series of photos that I've taken on our walks recently and/or around our neck of the woods. I'll try to be as wordless as possible...
Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

Wordless Wednesday~Sort Of...
2 Peter 3:9 New International Version
"9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,
as some understand slowness.
Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance."
(deer vertebra found in the woods; it's been there a long time)

Psalm 62:5-8 New King James Version
"5 My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God.
8 Trust in Him at all times, you people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah"
Note: Our "kids" made it home safely from their almost month long trip to Minnesota! They will be coming over for supper tonight, so I need to get to work! Can't wait to see them! Catch ya later alligator!

Love the photos you shared. So glad the kids made it home. Enjoy seeing them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. There's no link.
ReplyDeleteWe're having regular afternoon showers now which is wonderful! What a blessing. 💙
Wonderful imagery, Pam! Those tree stumps 'life lines' fascinate me.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your supper and good conversation with the kids and their furbabies!
Beautiful pictures! Glad your kids got back home safely. Peace and blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, especially the first one of the forest. Enjoy your kids!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photos! You don't have to link to anything. :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for the kids being home.
Gee, we were gone as long as your "kids". I'm sure they had a wonderful time too and are now looking forward to seeing you two. Your photos are beautiful but the scriptures are so perfect for us today. Our world desperately needs Jesus.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
Blessings,
Betsy
I admit that I giggled when I saw that you were posting a Wordless Wednesday!! You are a prolific writer and paint beautiful pictures with your words, always! I'm so glad the kids are home safely and know you will have great fun catching up with them at dinner tonight!! Love & hugs!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh, I have never truly had a wordless Wednesday. it all started that we were to post a photo that tells a story without words. so far, it has been RARE for anyone to do that. I am like you, and Sparky too, I can't seem to post wordless. each time I try I end up with a few or a lot of words. LOVE that first after pic of the stump. looks like art to me.. and that photo does tell a story all by itself, just not for you and me
ReplyDeleteLike Terri, I had to chuckle, too, at the thought of you ever being wordless. You write beautifully, and always choose such appropriate scripture for each post. Your photos, without words, speak volumes!
ReplyDeleteI know you're excited to have Benton and Rose back home, too!
Blessings!
I did wordless days years ago with just one or two photos with maybe a few words. I like how you shared your nice photos and some scripture verses to read and a few things about what the photos are about! I am glad Benton and Rose came home safely. My son flew with a friend for friend's wedding in another state this weekend. I am glad he's able to go there as he's been alone for months. I have taken some photos when on vacation for two recent weekends that are on the coast of Oregon. Have a blessed day!==Becky
