Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

Rise and Shine
"Rise and shine
and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine
and give God the glory, glory;
Rise and shine and (clap!)
Give God the glory, glory,
Children of the Lord!"
The Red Shouldered Hawk is in the treetop, rejoicing to see a new day!
The sun is rising in the east and reflecting on Still Waters Pond

I love that song, "Rise and Shine," Pamela, and have fond memories of singing it with my children. Such lovely, inspirational words and photos here to get my day off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Our church is singing that chorus as we begin our worship service prior to the opening prayer and welcome of visitors, etc. Good way to get people ready for praise and worship of our Lord!
DeleteAlways brings a smile to my face. Have a beautiful day, friend.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to bring a smile this morning. I hope your day has been spectacular!!
DeleteSinging right along with you here! And heading out to choir practice for our Easter music. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your choir is really on the ball getting ready for your Easter music already. But I am glad I got you up and out the door singing!! Have a super wonderful day.
DeleteI teach Sunday School at my church, and back in October, our lesson was about Noah. The kids and I sang the "Rise and Shine" song. Fun song!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, beautiful photos!
Our church is singing just that chorus portion as we begin our worship service each week right now. It's a good way to get everyone up on their feet and ready to begin our praise and worship! I'm glad everyone here seemed to know the song without me having to post a link to the music!! Have a blessed and beautiful day!
DeleteI have a mug with Rise, Shine, Give God the Glory on it! I love that song. I spent some time with the Lord this morning. It was glorious. I hope you have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cindy. I did have a blessed day, but then just got some sad news about a friend tonight, so I wrote about that later. Sad for me, but happy for her to be in heaven tonight. She is now giving God the glory in person!
DeleteIt is always uplifting to visit your posts, Pam! I am no familiar with that song but love it already!
