If you recall from last week I told you HERE that we would be celebrating our 51st anniversary on August 16th. And so we did. Actually we started celebrating on Saturday, the 15th, by going out to supper with our family. We went to our favorite restaurant, "Corky Bells", because it is overlooks the St. John's River and is always a delightful atmosphere for any kind of celebration.
This was the view from the dock as we waited to be called to our table.
(If you are a Facebook friend you may have already seen most of these pictures. I apologize for repeating, but not everyone of my blogging friends is also a Facebook friend.)
And here we are looking back up at the restaurant from down on the dock. As you can see, they have a lot of outdoor seating, however on that particular day it had been raining quite a bit, so many of the outdoor tables /chairs were too wet to sit on. However, we were able to get a table up under that large blue canopy.
So this is our official 51st Anniversary picture.
We were happy to have our "kids" go with us to help us celebrate.

We had such a delightful time, and are so thankful for our family.
On Sunday, our actual anniversary day, we went to church as per usual, and here is the
video of our service, which our Pastor records ahead of time to be shown online for those who are still not able to come to our in person services. If you click on this and start at the beginning, you can see our "Praise Team" singing "There is Power in the Blood". Yes, I am the one in the middle, singing alto. We also record these ahead of time for the video, but then we do sing live for the actual service. We are just a small country church, but we love the Lord and enjoy praising and worshiping the Lord together.

Following our church service, we went out to "brunch" at our local "True Grits" restaurant, with a few of our church friends, including our Pastor and his wife. It is always a wonderful time of fellowship to be able to eat together. Our son and daughter in law also came along this week, so this was still a continuation of our anniversary celebration!
We've been well blessed and are so thankful for the 51 years the Lord has given us together.
Now switching gears again:
And I showed it to you because my hubby got a new faucet in his bathroom to replace that old faucet.
Well, as a part of our "Anniversary Celebration" we have been doing some extra projects and repairs...things we've been wanting to do here with our house since we moved in a year ago. I may have told you back when we first bought this house that it has not just one master bathroom in our master bedroom, but two master bathrooms in our master bedroom. One bathroom has the shower, (that we just fixed the other day) a toilet and a sink. The other bathroom (mine!) has a garden tub, a toilet, and a sink. Two separate bathrooms...but both in our master bedroom. It has proven to be a very nice arrangement which we never would have thought of ourselves.
Well, anyway, moving right along, the reason I was telling you all of this was because one of the things we decided to do as part of our anniversary "gift" to each other was replace the sink and faucet in my bathroom! My faucet was just like the one above (actually, that picture is of my faucet). But my sink was also having some issues, as in, whoever lived here before must have used some kind of caustic cleaner on it and caused it to have a lot of bumpy texture as well as it was very difficult to come clean. Since this is a manufactured home, the original bathroom sinks were a kind of plastic or fiberglass, but not very high quality. Eventually we will probably have to replace all of them, but since mine was the worst we decided to go ahead and replace it and the faucet at the same time. And since we discovered our new "handyman", "Billy", we decided to make full use of his talents before he disappears like the last one!
So here is my new sink and faucet in my bathroom. I love it!
Now, after going back and re-reading that post above about "the garden tub", in which I took a nice relaxing bubble bath in my tub on my birthday last year, I think it is about time I did that again! If I can get myself down into that tub again, that is, and get myself back out! LOL.
We may be doing some other "projects" this week as a continued part of our anniversary gift. Kind of an anniversary gift to our house to celebrate our one year of living here, as well as a gift to each other. I will be sure to keep you posted when and if anything else "develops".
