Here it is again...that Easter Saturday, the day between the Crucifixion of our Lord on Good Friday, and the day before His Resurrection from the dead...while all of the earth awaits to see what God will do! I've written about that in earlier years, and have linked them for you here below:
Previous Post for Easter Saturday
Last year's Easter Saturday post
In reading back over those posts I was struck by how similar things are today, while we wait for Easter Sunday morning. There is a kind of hush and awe about us...as if all of creation is waiting for God's next move. And indeed we are waiting...
Exodus 14:13 "And Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.'".... and in verse 14, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."
And so, as we await the commemoration of Christ's glorious resurrection...and His return to earth to redeem us from this present world and establish His Kingdom for all of eternity...life goes on...all of creation continues to go about their natural order of life...
We raise our families
And train them up in the way they should go...
And pray they will stay on the right path and be safe
We establish our homes...
And when we think we have the right place to settle down...
We call our mates...
And say come and check this out...(and yes, this is a new Bluebird couple checking out the other birdhouse and building a nest...following the same pattern they did last year...)
How does it look in there, Marge?
And yes, even our children's children select their mates
and make plans for their future...
Our grandson Noah and his very sweet fiancee' Dawn...
Sitting in "The Memorial Garden" watching the sunset together, and looking forward to a bright new future, wherever God leads them.
So while we await Christ's glorious resurrection day, we dream and plan and pray about our future and trust God to provide and protect and guide. We know He is always there for us.
Praise God for giving us HOPE.
Amen.
That's sweet that Noah and Dawn showed up for a visit. I wish they could stay in Florida to be closer to y'all.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Our Bluebirds are busy securing nests and territories. Their beautiful blue flashes through the trees all around our house. Such a delight to watch them go about their business. Y'all have a Little Paradise like we do. It's so tranquil, isn't it. Praise God for His tender mercies.
Hang on. Sunday's comin' and Jesus will be back soon. Let's keep telling everyone about His love so that they may partake in His goodness too.
Love to you all. xx
Amen, Pamela. Let's keep spreading the GOOD NEWS!!! And yes, we are hopeful that they might end up staying here in the area. Praying for God's will to be done.
DeleteBeautiful, Pam. Just beautiful. The best, I think, is seeing Noah sitting with his love in his father's Memorial Garden.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you picked up on that. This was the first time Noah had seen this particular 'garden', and I think it kind of stunned him. It was a special moment.
DeleteI sometimes think what my life would have been had I not found Jesus. Very possibly much of my family would have also been much different. We may not realize it but the Jesus in us reaches out to others. Happy Resurrection Day!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, where would we all be without Jesus? LOST!!!!! Praise God we are FOUND!!!
DeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
How old is your grandson? He looks so happy. His bride too. What a blessing to marry young.
23. They are both very well suited for each other. I am very thankful to God for bringing them together.
DeleteThis is my favorite of all your posts. 💕
ReplyDeleteWow! of ALL of them? Wow!!
DeleteLovely. Just perfect for the Saturday in waiting. You were able to link the photos to the words of how we all strive to live our lives, pleasing to Christ, yet awaiting His return. Oh, how I hope that return is very soon.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Betsy
Thank you, Betsy. Yes, we are waiting, trying to be patiently waiting for Christ's return...but this old world is getting to be somewhat wearisome. May God give us strength and faith to keep holding on and pressing ahead until He comes! Blessings to you as well! Joyous Easter!!
DeleteI read very few blogs anymore. I avoid politics and other issues. It is the right of the blogger to write what she or he chooses...it is the right of the reader to read or avoid. I want you to know that your blog is so heartwarming, family, your business, your faith. What has touched me is that you live your faith. You don't profess one belief and live another, making excuses for what you do. You seem to be a true believer. Thank you for your uplifting blog. Thank you for your kindness which appears in your words.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brenda. I appreciate your kind and heartfelt words of encouragement. I know I haven't seen you lately so I was concerned that you were okay. Praying you have a blessed and joyous Easter!
DeleteBeautiful post, Pam, so cleverly written with the photos of the birds. I love the one that says, "How does it look in there, Marge?" Ha-ha!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your grandson and his fiancé have been able to visit you. I know that in itself has made this Easter season even more delightful.
It has been a very special time for us to have our son Matthew's son Noah and his very sweet fiancee' with us. God arranged this and it is very wonderful. Have a blessed Easter!
DeleteNoah and Dawn visiting this weekend makes the best kind of Easter!! I love the photo of them sitting in your Memorial Garden, in honor of Noah's dad. Poignant. Blessings!! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Terri. Yes, this has been a super wonderful and blessed time together. Only God could have put this together so perfectly. Blessed Easter to you!

ReplyDeleteAnd He will not fail us! May your Easter be blessed as well! He is Risen Indeed!
DeletePrayers for my friend from when we were toddlers. Lost her nephew today…in his fifties. In the past three years, she has lost her husband of fifty plus years, a close sister, a close brother, and another nephew fifty. Keeps coming to their family…Brenda
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry to hear this, Brenda. I will be praying for your dear friend. She certainly has had more than her share of grief recently. May the Lord be her Comforter and give her the peace that only He can provide. (((hugs)))
