Coffee Tea Time! Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.....just four questions each week...
How about a bit of Coffee questions this week? Or, if you drink tea or anything else, adjust the questions to suit you.Well, I think most everyone who knows me knows that I drink TEA. I would call myself a "tea-totaller", as I never drink coffee and rarely do I drink any other drink except for water. So these questions will be adjusted for "tea for me".
1. What is your favorite tea or coffee? (KIND or Brand)
I also drink some other kinds of herbal teas and a variety of Twining's teas. But Lipton is my favorite tea for my every day morning cup of tea and also for iced tea.
My Easter Tea Time scene...
2. Do you prefer your coffee Tea in the morning, afternoon or evening?
Mostly morning, but I do enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon, especially during the winter months. I usually drink iced tea (unsweet) with my lunch. Occasionally I will drink some kind of herbal tea in the evening, like a chamomile or "Sleepy Time" tea when I feel the need for it. This "Serene Slumber" Lavender tea is very soothing at bedtime...
3. Do you meet friends for coffee in a café or restaurant? Often or not?
I would love to do that more often. We just don't really have that kind of cafe' or tea shop near us where we live now. We do usually go out to lunch on Sunday after church with some of our church friends at a local diner. That is always fun. Some of the folks order breakfast, and some order lunch.
4. Do you have a night time regimen before you go to bed, and how about your first thing in the morning routine? Does it include a hot drink to relax in the evening or coffee tea to get you going in the morning? Does it help to start and end the day right?
Yes, I do drink a cup of hot tea first thing in the morning. It is usually Lipton Black Tea, and most of the time I just have one cup. If we ever do go out to breakfast I will often have another cup of tea at that time. And yes, it does help to start my day right. I often drink my first cup of tea while reading my messages from you all either here in blogland or on Facebook. After I finish my cup of tea it is time for our morning devotions and then breakfast.
My "Room With a View" /Tea Room...
And even the inhabitants of "Pamela's Victorian Cottage" are ready for a tea party:
My night time regimen is checking in with friends here in blogland/facebook for a while in the evening and then I often head to bed by 9:00 or 9:30 at the latest...I prefer a shower at night as opposed to morning...and then off to beddie bye. We get up around 6:00 a.m., so that's why we try to get to bed fairly early.
Meanwhile, here it is the first week of April already, and I haven't shared my April Calendars yet, so here we go! I will start with the Teapot Calendar, which is most appropriate for the subject at hand, and then move on from there:
Here's the Thomas Kinkade calendar for April:
And the garden calendar in my bathroom:
Oh, and the cute little Susan Branch Calendar is always fun:
And speaking of the daffodils...here's a whole garden full of them on the John Sloane Country Seasons Calendar:
With that I will close for today.
Praying for those in the path of the storms that are breaking out across the country again this week. If that includes any of you, please let us know that you are safe!
We will be praying for you.
I am writing this on Monday night...oh, I bet you'd like to see how our Sand Hill Crane Colts, "Pat and Val" are growing! That's one thing for certain! They are sure growing! So here's a few pictures to close out this post (I promise).
Around our house, even the young Sand Hill Cranes enjoy a tea party in the garden:
You can see how tall they are getting:
They still stay close to Mama and Daddy:
Oh, I'd better hurry...you can see his little "arm-wings" flapping as he runs.
Good Night everyone!!! It's almost past my bedtime. LOL.
I am also a tea drinker, Pam, although I do enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, when Grenville brings it to me in the bedroom. Usually I read for a while, while he scans the online news stories. I usually have at least 1 cup of tea in the afternoon or evenings. I also enjoy the varieties of Twinings, but growing up it was also Lipton tea in our home (never White Rose or Salada). Recently, I have been enjoying cinnamon tea from Harney & Sons (available online). The young cranes are growing up very fast and always enjoyable to see them.
ReplyDeleteSending all good wishes to you and John and your family for a glorious Easter celebration. We will be heading to our native NJ this week to be with family and it's also my brother's birthday. I won't be online while we're out of state.
I enjoyed your lovely tea sharing Pamela! I enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, sometimes a second midmorning and then tea in the afternoon and hot water before bedtime. I enjoy my morning coffee with devotions. Your sweet feathered dlfriends are so adorable! You have some beautiful calendars to enjoy!! May the sweet blessings of the Lord be with you this Easter week!
ReplyDeleteYou Sandhill crane family is just the cutest! Of course I love your tiny dolls and the dollhouse too. Enjoy your week! It's HOT...heehee! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteLoving the crane family. I don't do tea or coffee.
ReplyDeleteSweet baby cranes! 😍
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea-ing.
Cute little sandhill visitors to your yard. I've always liked tea and started drinking it as a very little girl with my grandmother.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyable post! Well I sat sipping my black coffee while you had your tea. I enjoy tea. My husband is a big tea drinker after he has his morning cup of mud… an addiction he picked up while in the military. He used to drink 2 pots of coffee a day!
ReplyDeleteI love that sitting area - so cozy. The baby cranes are growing so sweetly- God keep them protected!
You have a wonderful day. God Bless.
Hi Pamela, I enjoyed all your pictures! The baby cranes are growing up so quickly! I used to drink a lot of tea, but I had to cut back on caffeine. Then the tannic acid in the tea always numbed my tongue. I do enjoy some evening chamomile honey vanilla. I enjoy tea parties too! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan. Yes, I watch the amount of caffeine I take in as well. Can't drink tea after supper, and usually just drink water with my supper. Chamomile honey vanilla sounds good. Is that a tea combo, or do you just add your own honey and vanilla? I hope you are having a blessed Holy Week and will have a joyous Easter!
DeleteOh, how I've loving those vintage tea canisters! (Is that the right word?) I struggle to enjoy a good strong tea -- but then again, one never knows! Used to be I loathed tomatoes and now I love them. (lol) That quote from the 'adorable Mark Twain' cracks me up. I hope you and those downy babes are all enjoying a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, canisters sounds good to me, or tins. I would enjoy visiting with you with or without tea! And yes, "those downy babes" continue to entertain us every day. Never a dull moment around here!
DeleteSweet Pamela, I might be a coffee drinker, but you'll always have a cup of tea waiting for you at my house. ((hugs)) btw, loved your beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary. I would LOVE to be there with you, tea or no tea!!!
DeleteI grew up on Lipton tea, then I discovered Celestial Seasonings and haven't look back. *lol* I drink an orange decaf ice tea that is so yummy but also have other flavors for when I want a hot tea.
ReplyDeleteFun post! Really enjoyed it. xx
Thank you, Sparky. I like a variety of Celestial Seasonings teas also, but Lipton black tea is my go to for a wake me up in the morning. I bet that orange decaf iced tea is good. Which one is it? I might try it sometime for a change. Thank you for visiting! I hope you are having a blessed Holy Week and that you will have a glorious Easter day!
DeleteI enjoy my morning cup of coffee and sometimes a cup of tea at mid morning. The rest of the time, it's water for me, maybe a glass of milk with my supper.
ReplyDeleteYes, I drink water most of the day, and keep a thermal tumbler of ice water with me all day long, However, I NEVER drink milk, unless it has chocolate (preferably Ovaltine) in it! I was forced to drink milk as a child, but never ever liked it. Finally my mother gave in and let me have a little hershey's chocolate syrup or Nestle's Quik in it to get it down. I have one son who also never could drink milk. He's a lot like me! So anyway, I normally drink tea with lunch and water with supper and no caffeine after supper or I can't sleep. Hope you have a blessed Holy Week and glorious Easter!!
DeleteI enjoyed your post Pamela. I didn't realize that you don't drink coffee.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Penny. I just never acquired a taste for coffee, but I do make a pot of it every morning for my hubby. He drinks his coffee while I have my tea, and everyone is happy! LOL. I hope you have a blessed Holy Week and glorious Easter!
DeleteOh my goodness, what a lovely fun filled post. I love my coffee in the morning and sometimes a cup of herbal tea at night. Good old Folgers is my pick on coffee, but I like to experiment with different teas. Then when the warm weather starts coming on I enjoy a big fruit jar of ice tea in the afternoon (no sugar no lemon) for a "pick me up". It must be fun watching those baby cranes, they are so cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's showing me as anonymous, this is Connie from Crafty Home Cottage.
Hi Connie! Thank you for identifying yourself! I know blogger does that to me if I try to comment from my cell phone. Thank you for visiting. Oh, yes, that "big fruit jar of ice tea in the afternoon" sounds very refreshing! I do like lemon in my iced tea when I have them available, but no sugar. It is a great pick me up! I hope you have a blessed Holy Week and glorious Easter!
DeleteAnnie gave us another fun Tuesday 4! Yes, you are my tea-drinking friend! I actually do now have a kettle, a real teapot with a cozy, and a selection of teas so I am ready for your visit!! I always enjoy my visit here with you, Pam. Love & hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful that you now have a tea-kettle and teapot, and even a tea-cozy!! Wow! Now I am coming to visit for sure! LOL. And I won't even have to bring my own teabags! LOL. I know I would love visiting with you even if you didn't have any tea! Someday we will make it down there, I truly hope!! Have a blessed Holy Week and glorious Easter!
DeleteLipton tea has always been my favorite. Love the tea pots, one day I hope to be able to display all of mine again, I have some really old and pretty ones. Sorry I have not commented on your blog in a while, life got in the way. (I have a new post that explains) I hope your doing well sweet friend. The colts are so precious.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do hope you will be able to display your lovely tea pots again some day. I would love to see them. I just put a comment on your blog post. Praying for you dear friend. Have a blessed and joyous Easter!
DeleteI don't drink coffee either. Ever. But I do like my tea. I usually have Lipton's tea too but when in London I drink Earl Grey as that is what my sweet daughter-in-love drinks. They definitely still do "tea time" there. Everthing stops for a cuppa around 4:00.
ReplyDeleteThose babies are certainly growing quickly. What a joy to see them so often.
We're doing fine here weather wise although it is supposed to be in the 20's tonight after a high of almost 70 today. It's crazy. A blizzared warning is up about 100 miles north of us, and tornado warnings all week about 100 miles east. I think I'll stay put.
We do have a great storm shelter here at the apartments and it's just one floor below our apartment almost directly under us which is a very good thing.
I pray you have a wonderful Wednesday and we begin the journey towards the Passover meal and then Good Friday.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
So thankful to know that you are safe and that you are in a good place. Wow, blizzards and tornadoes surrounding you, but God is with you right where you are. Continuing in prayer for those in those outlying areas that may be affected. Oh, I bet being in London was amazing, especially for tea time! I would love to experience that just the way they do it. I've been to American "high tea" parties, but still, to be in England and truly have an English tea party would be so delightful! And yes, I do like Earl Grey tea as well. There is also a "Lady Grey" tea put out by Twinings that I like. I hope you have a blessed rest of your Holy Week and Glorious Easter!!
DeleteI enjoyed your tea post and everything here. Yes the storms all over are just awful. Hannah said it was cold and windy at their house but Jake works in Buffalo and there was a tornado warning. Nick was stuck in Indy today for several hours. Waiting on a place. Headed to Chicago next and they received baseball size hail so the waiting was a long long time. I think God is very angry with things of the world and the weather is certainly a warning. We still had snow this week, nothing new here but suppose to be in the 70's this next week. Now they tell us fire hazards. Always something. I remember you said you liked Lady Grey tea. I am going to have to get some. I am stuck on Earl Grey decaf currently. I like the Grey's and Darjeeling too. Anyway lovely to be here. Happy Easter to you and yours. Love those baby Sand Hill Cranes, precious. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh, I pray all of your family are safe, and that you do not get any fires near you. It is very dry here too and we need rain badly. Our little pond is starting to dry up. But the summer rains always fill it back up. Oh, I like Darjeeling tea also. Praying you have a blessed and joyous Easter!
