Good News!

Good News!  Today I was released by my surgeon...and they finally removed the staples after five weeks...about time!  I am still a little tender where they were, but that will heal and soon I'll be good as new! Well...as good as new as a woman of my age can be, all things considered. LOL.

So,  to celebrate, first I took  a nap when I got home. And now I am ready to share the good news!
These verses from Psalm 40 express my thoughts well!

Psalm 40: 1-5
1.  "I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
and heard my cry.
Male Ruby Throated Hummingbird at my birdfeeder this week!

2.  He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
out of the miry clay,
and set my feet upon a rock,
and established my steps.

3.  He has put a new song in my mouth...
(Great Crested Flycatcher.)
 Praise to our God.

Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

4.  Blessed is that man (woman!) who makes the Lord his trust,
and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

5.  Many, O Lord my God,
are Your wonderful works
which You have done;
(This picture of the Ring Necked Ducks was taken earlier this winter,
but it fits the thought of "more than can be numbered".)

And Your thoughts toward us
cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered."

Thank you all for your prayers on my behalf over the past five weeks. God has been very gracious and kind, and I am so thankful to be doing so well.  Now we just pray that this corona virus will also soon pass and we will all be able to get back to living our lives to the fullest.  I believe we will all be ready to sing praises to God when we are able to join together once again.  Let us keep that momentum going and not fall back into complacency.

"Let all those who seek You
rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
'The Lord be magnified!'"
Psalm 40:16
Amen!

    1. Yes, I am quite glad to have those little rascals out of there. They were becoming a part of my body...not a very pleasant part! I shouldn't have to go back unless something strange develops, so praying not. Doctor said he didn't want to see me again! Yes, I've seen both the male and female Ruby Throats this past week, so put your feeders out...they are here!! Take care and God bless you all.
