We woke up this morning to these Rain Lilies, which popped up after the rain and bloomed like magic! My hubby called them lilies of hope, because made us feel hopeful...

The wild grape vines are quite prolific again this year, and it looks like it might be a good year for the wild grape crop. Click HERE for a previous post about this.
While at the pond I noticed this beautiful blue dragonfly again. Click HERE for a previous post about dragonflies and their significance.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed these little nature lessons. There is so much beauty around us to explore, if we just open our eyes to see.
"God saw all that He had made, and it was very good." Genesis 1:31
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Each little bird that sings,
God made their glowing colors,
And made their tiny wings.
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky.
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden:
God made them every one.
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
We gather every day.
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
""God saw all that He had made, and it was very good." Genesis 1:31"

Amen!!
DeleteWell, I could have done without the spider picture but I loved all the other ones. I love those little "lilies of hope" as your hubby called them. Hope you have a great night-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThank you! Sorry about the spider. I thought he was beautiful! But I'm a Florida country girl living in the woods...what can I say? Have a great night too...and a great trip coming up, right?
DeleteThis is a beautiful post, Pam, and my favorite are the lilies of hope. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, the lilies were such a beautiful sight early in the morning when we woke up! There had been no sign of them the day before, and then there they were in all their glory! The rain truly does bring them out! And they DO give us hope!!
DeleteLoved all of the pictures Pam. Just beautiful shots. Nothing like the beautiful creations of God. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeletePam: I love the "Lilies of Hope" and the Rose of Sharon. My stepfather told me that when the Rose of Sharon blooms up here that it is not long before the first frost. (I can't remember how long he said.)
ReplyDeleteRain Lilies -- I've never heard of them before. With this week's rains, you should have many more of them pop up!!
ReplyDeleteAll your pictures are stunning, but my favorite is the dragon fly!
I love all your photos, especially the spider. You got some rain and I love that. It helps all the critters and also helps to keep things green. I am hoping for a good soaking rain but I don't see any in the forecast. I posted for Skywatch Friday but is there still a Friday Foto Friends meme? Have a wonderful weekend Pamela :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, there isn't any link for Friday Foto Friends any longer, but some of us just do it anyway because we enjoy posting pictures on Friday. Debbie wasn't able to keep it up at this time. But if someone else wanted to pick up the link and go with it, she was quite open to that! Thank you for meeting me here today!
DeleteOh okay. I knew about Debbie's decision but when I saw your post I thought maybe someone else picked it up.
DeleteBeautiful and stunning photos, Pam. Your eye for capturing the beauty in the world around us is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
