Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

I Am The Vine
"I Am the true vine,
and My Father is the vinedresser."
"I am the vine,
you are the branches.
He who abides in Me,
and I in him,
bears much fruit;
For without ME you can do nothing.
If anyone does not abide in Me,
he is cast out as a branch and is withered;
and they gather them and throw them into the fire,
and they are burned.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit;
so you will be My disciples.
John 15:1, 4-8, NKJV

WOWza! Love this SO much!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Susie! I love that you're the first to respond! :) Makes me smile!!! I'm glad I found this little group...it might help me get back in the groove!!! If I can't really write...I can take pictures and share God's Word. That may be what I'm supposed to do for now...til my brain gets back in gear. LOL.
DeleteVisiting from Friday Foto Friends. LOVE this!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beckey. I am looking forward to making some new friends in our Friday Foto Friends Group. Thank you for stopping by! Have a blessed day!
DeleteOh, Ms. Pam....what awesome pictures to go along with God's precious Word! Thank you sooo much for linking up today and leaving such sweet comments. HOPE to see you again next Friday...or any old day! ;-) HOPE you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie, for making this possible! I don't know why I waited so long to join you. Photography is my favorite way to express God's Word as seen in His creation...and I am excited to have an opportunity to make some new friends this way as well. God bless you and keep you strong and healthy!!!
DeleteThose are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nonnie! I am excited to see so many wild grapes growing this year. The birds, bears, deer and other wildlife will have a good supply of food! God takes care of All of His marvelous creation, including us!
DeleteI love the verse you've selected and your photos go perfectly with the words. Thank you for your kind words at my blog today. My desire is for those that don't yet have an interest in Kenya to learn more and to pray for the needs there. Your comment was encouraging. God bless you. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, we just do not realize how our Christian brothers and sisters around the globe are suffering, often for their faith...and we take our freedoms so much for granted. I appreciate your faithfulness to share these prayer requests on behalf of the Body of Christ in Kenya!
DeleteThank you for visiting Mamaw's Place today and think you for your kind words about the loss of my husband. I miss him dearly. We had 35 wonderful years together. We met on a blind date and got married two months later and never regretted a moment of it. I love your blog title. Since Allen's passing, my children, grandchildren and myself change up the way we celebrated Thanksgiving, and a few small changes at Christmas. Then I lost my job and went to another job for a company who shortyly after that closed it's door. Then I had a chance to move to a smaller place and found my dream job. Through it all on Facebook, I was constantly posting that I was so thankful to God that He gave me the faith to step through the open doors he created every time he closed one door. So I love your blog title.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love to hear how God blesses and provides for His children, even when it appears doors have shut...He always has a plan! That is largely how I started writing this blog...I was also out of a job, and had many doors shut in my face before I found the 'dream job', at a church, no less! I have recently retired, and am enjoying the new opportunities that God places in my pathway in this next phase of life. Praying for you as you continue to find your path and direction in the new phases of your life. God is always with you, no matter what!!! So glad to get to know you. "Mamaw's Place" sounds so welcoming and warm! Makes me want to visit.
DeleteBeautiful photo's Pamela,and goes so good with the verses.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Thank you Sylvia. I've been watching these wild grapes grow and taking their picture, and wondering how God was going to use those photos...and then He directed me to this Friday Foto Friends group, and I knew I'd found a new place to make some new friends (as well as keep up with some of my "old friends"! Thank you for sharing this with me!
DeleteLovely photos. Such a sweet reminder of Who we are connected to. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes, thank you, Melanie. We are interconnected through Christ...all a part of this lovely big vine of His Body. So wonderful how God brings His family together. Have a blessed weekend as well. Hope you are feeling better.
DeletePam, this is a beautiful and timely post. My word for this year is "abide"--the verses you shared are a few that I've studied. It's all about being connected to and saying in the vine. It's only by abiding that we are able to bear any type of fruit. Your photos are amazing, by the way.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Thank you Kim. And yes, we are supposed to be bearing fruit in whatever way the Lord leads us to grow. As we abide in Him, He will make us fruitful. Thank you for enjoying the photos. I am amazed at the beautiful things God puts in my path every day. So many blessings!
DeletePam: We heard this scripture at church this morning. One of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOne of mine as well. Now the test comes in how we abide in Him whenever the world is pulling us in all directions. Staying focused on Jesus is the key to abiding in Him.
DeleteTHANK you so much for the beautiful words and photos. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am so glad you stopped by to visit. I will look forward to getting better acquainted in the future. Have a blessed day.
