Skywatch Friday...A Morning Meditation

This is my first time visiting and joining with Skywatch Friday (Click HERE to visit and join)

On my early morning walk to our neighborhood pond I enjoyed looking into the depths of the sky  reflected on the water...when you view these pictures please note they are taken by looking into the water, not up at the sky.   This was my morning meditation:

Psalm 130:1-6

"Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;

 Lord, Hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

If You, Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?

But there is forgiveness with You,
that You may be feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in His word I do hope.

My soul waits for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning--

Yes, more than those who watch for the morning."

Thank you for joining me today for Skywatch Friday. I hope you enjoyed your visit here as we shared this morning devotion together.
Have a blessed day and weekend!

  8. Yes, lovely reflections and the perfect verses to go with them. You asked how we spent Queen's birthday. It had been such a busy weekend that on the Monday, the actual holiday, we just relaxed at home and did very little, knowing there was a drive to the funeral the following day. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

  9. So enjoyed the photos and the meditation time with the Psalm, Pamela. I like the idea of a Skywatch Friday - wish I could see more of the sky where we live so that I might join in.
    Blessings!

  10. Really lovely photos and good words. There is a beautiful hymn for that. The Psalter of the Anglican church does this throughout the year. Psalm 130 is HERE if you push it ahead to 10:08:59 "Out of the Deep" but this contains the complete Psalter. When my daughter attended services at St Paul's in London she was shocked at the beauty of the service.

    1. The psalm is according to the 1535 bible translation, not the much newer King James just FYI. :)
