Sand Hill Crane Family Portrait |
Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

Precious Promises
Psalm 36:7-8
7. "How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust
under the shadow of Your wings.
8. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
Psalm 37:1-2
1. "Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity,
2. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
and wither as the green herb."
(aftermath of the little storm that went through here Sunday afternoon)
Psalm 37:3-5
3."Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land,
and feed on His faithfulness.
4. Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5. Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass."
(Family visiting with our grandson Noah and his girlfriend, who came all the way from Maine to see us on their spring break.) (Note: Noah is our only grandchild, the son of our son Matthew who entered heaven's gates almost four years ago. Noah will graduate high school this June...and we are so very proud of the young man he is becoming. We know his daddy would be very proud as well. )

I thought that was Noah! Such a nice looking grandson, Pam! It looks as if he and his girlfriend were enjoying visiting with the family.
ReplyDeleteWe did have a great time together. I think his girlfriend was a bit in awe of the noise and laughter when the guys all got together. It did my heart so good to hear them. I know Matthew was laughing with us all the way from heaven... Thank you for your visit...and for your thoughts and prayers for Noah throughout the past several years that we've known each other. You are a blessing to me!
DeleteOh the joy of family as we gather together and laugh, love and share our lives. I can't help but laugh about girlfriend being a bit in awe with noise....Pam, when my crew is together....OH MERCY! NOISE is not even a word. Of course with three daughters you can imagine that we all have to talk over each other. So glad you got to enjoy this time with each other. The china cabinet is so pretty and you know I've spotted my favorite dishes too! Those blue and white. LOL! I hope you have a great day dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeletethank you, Cindy, for popping in! Yes, I can only imagine what 3 girls would be like. I had 3 boys...and they are noisy, but in a different way I'm sure! I'm glad you noticed the china cabinet...that was MY project a couple of years ago...what a job it was, but I'm so glad I did it. And the blue Currier and Ives dishes are a favorite of mine too. Can't wait to see your finished kitchen!!
DeleteGlad you are having a good visit with Noah. Looks like you all enjoy each other's company. Peace and Blessings to you and yours.

DeleteNoah is a good looking young man. I'm so glad he came to be with you - very special being your only grandson and the son of your Matthew. It is one of my favorite joys when our family is able to get together like that and just enjoy each other.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nonnie. Yes it was a wonderful time and I treasured every moment. Family times are very special. There’s just not enough of them ever.
ReplyDeleteLoved the photos of the family gathering, and Noah is such a handsome young man. I know you enjoyed every moment you had with him.
