What on earth does this "king frog" have to do with anything you may be asking yourself!
Good question! So keep reading...
Yesterday our "Lovely Ladies of the Lord" met in the "new" home of one of our lovely ladies for our monthly time of fellowship and prayer and sharing from God's Word.
Have you ever tried to take a picture of a group of ladies and get them to all smile, open their eyes, and stop talking long enough to snap the picture? Well, we had a lot of fun trying to get it just right...
And it's too bad we couldn't get us all in the picture at the same time...we tried a "selfie", but that just wasn't working at all...(no picture of that that could be shared...)
But you get the picture, right? We had a great time, laughing, praying, and praising the Lord together...and that's what it was all about...
Now back to that King Frog...
That is not the frog that was with us for our gathering yesterday. I forgot to take a picture of him...he was much prettier...crystal clear with a gold crown, and pink paper toenails that said:
F.R.O.G.
Our leader asked each lady if she could read what the pink "toenails" said, and of course, each in turn said, "FROG".
"But do you know what that stands for?" she asked...
Most of them thought the G must stand for God, but were pretty sketchy on what the rest of the letters stood for. I kept quiet because I had been in on the original discussion of this idea...
Finally, our leader explained that the F.R.O.G. stood for:
"FULLY RELY ON GOD"

Then we talked a bit about the book of Romans in the Bible, and how it is called,
"The Gospel of God", because this epistle lays out the full plan of redemption and the great doctrines of the Grace of God...and how we can always fully rely on God in all circumstances of life...
Romans 8:28 says:
"And we know that all things work together for good
to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to His purpose..."
And Romans 8:31 assures us the following promise...
"What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Yes, we can "Fully Rely On God"
to be there for us, no matter what!!

Now, hop along and have a wonderful day...
God's got you covered!!!
Postscript: My lovely friend Annie from
Cottage By The Sea "photo-shopped" our ladies' group photos above so that we could all be in the picture together! Here is the result:
Pretty good job, I'd say! Thank you, Annie!! I'm not clever enough to figure out how she did that...but isn't it fun? Have a blessed day everyone!!
Pam, what another delightful post! As I saw the attempts at a group photo, I was reminded of a time I was trying to take a group photo of a family (not mine but I knew several in that family). It was like herding cats...trying to get them to quiet down and LOOK at the camera! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, yes, to fully rely on God (FROG) is a great way to live life in this hurting and broken world. I'm so thankful that God has my back...actually He has ALL of me!
Blessings!
Amen, Kim! Yes...trusting in the Lord is the only way to peace and happiness in this broken world. And yes, the picture taking...like herding cats..that's so true. Love the thought!!!
DeleteI LOVE this idea, Pam. Fully Rely on God...kind of goes along with Matthew 5:3 and being poor in spirit...which shows us that we need to fully rely on God. No room for self-sufficency! Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth? Yes...being humble in spirit...trusting in the Lord and His complete sufficiency for our lives...that is where our hope lies.
DeleteYou are welcome!!! Now, hop along!! God's got you covered!! Ribbet. Ribbet. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pictures made me laugh, we go through that at GLOW! Regardless, it's fun!! FROG, I love that. Our youth had this on their wall at church.
ReplyDeleteWho'd a thunk a green frog could have such an important message to us? God uses the simple and humble things to teach us about His love for us... And yes, we ladies are the same everywhere when it comes to pictures...(they'll probably ex-communicate me for posting those pictures! LOL)
DeleteLovely ladies!! Did you see my frogs in my two-tiered table decoration! I've been collecting frogs for awhile now, knowing that they secretly represent that we must Fully Rely On God! Fun!
ReplyDeleteYes I did see your frogs...so much fun. I didn't know that you were a "secret admirer" of your frogs...LOL...Actually, that they helped you remember to Fully rely on God! What a great way to remember that!!! Love it.
DeleteWhat a fun lesson to share, and I can see by the picture that you were all having so much fun together! What a blessing to get together, reading and studying the word of the Lord, and being encouraged together, and then having that special time of fellowship with each other! I love your frog theme... how true it is that we must rely on the Lord for everything! I think of the scripture that says pray without ceasing, and that means a moment by moment fellowship with the Lord, relying on His wisdom and power for all the situations that come our way. Appreciate you sweet friend, praying the Lord's sweetest blessings for you :)
ReplyDeleteYes, our reliance on the Lord is a moment by moment experience...trusting in Him for every detail of our lives....and what a sweet experience that is! We know we can "fully rely on God" because He is so faithful and reliable!! Thank you for chiming in with us here today! Blessings.
DeleteWhen you all meet together please pray for me. Thanx.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Lifting you up in prayer right now, Victor. May you experience the full peace that only our Lord can give..in every way...as you trust and rely in His love and power to take care of your every need. Amen.
DeleteI so needed these comforting words today, Pamela. Yes, we must fully rely on God whose hand is upon us, ready to meet our every need. With MIL back in the hospital, this message could not come at a better time.
ReplyDeleteSending love your way!
Wow! I LOVE how the Lord puts these things together at the right time for so many. Praise the Lord...we can always "fully rely on God!". Praying for you and your family during this difficult time. God is with you.
DeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a wonderful and fun day, and God was there in the midst. Very special for all of us.
Deletewow these words were exactly what was needed here today thank you very much
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that...I love how God puts these things together for so many at just the right time. Praise the Lord! Praying for you now.
DeleteWonderful photos of your group Pamela and what a great lesson "Fully Rely On God" Love it! Have a day of blessings my friend.
ReplyDeletethank you, Toni, and may your day be filled with blessings as well!
DeleteAnother post aimed at me today with things I needed to hear.(The other was at Mary's).
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend.
Would it be alright if I Photoshop you into the group image with everyone else?
That way you can have all of you in a group photo.
DeleteWell, sure, if you can do it, that would be fun to see! Let me know when it is done! Thank you! You never cease to amaze me...and I am also happy to know that this simple little post encouraged you today. Sometimes it is the simplest that go the farthest!!!
DeleteOkay, it is finished. A quick job but, not too bad. Let me know how to get it to you.
DeleteIf you go to my profile you can send me an email. If that doesn't work, let me know! Thank you! I can't wait to see it.
DeletePam: I try to live my life truly, fully relying on God. Someone looking into my life from the outside might think,"How boring," but I find joy in staying close to Him. There are times when there is never a dull moment. Other times, I get to rest and contemplate about things.
DeleteCecelia, yes, when we learn to live our lives fully relying on God, there is never a dull moment...and we also do get to rest and contemplate...no matter what the season or situation, God is in control, and we can depend on Him to take care of us either way. That is a wonderful way to live.
DeleteWhat a fun post. You guys look like you love being together.
ReplyDeleteWe truly did have a lovely time. So thankful for sisters in the Lord. You included.
