Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!
What Do You See Outside YOUR Open Window Today?
Remember: "When God closes a door, He always opens a window!" You never know what might be out there waiting for you!

Have You Seen Jesus My Lord?
I thought you might enjoy listening to and singing along with this very special song by our choir this morning. It's one of my favorites.
Have You Seen Jesus My Lord?
Have you seen Jesus my Lord, He’s here in plain view
Take a look, open your eyes, He’ll show life to you
Have you ever stood at the ocean with the white foam at your feet
Felt the endless thundering motion, then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.
Have you seen Jesus my Lord, He’s here in plain view
Take a look, open your eyes, He’ll show life to you
Have you ever stood at the sunset with the sky mellowing red
Seen the clouds suspended like feathers, then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.
Have you seen Jesus my Lord, He’s here in plain view
Take a look, open your eyes, He’ll show life to you
Have you ever stood at the cross with the man hanging in pain
Seen the look of love in His eyes, then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.
Have you seen Jesus my Lord, He’s here in plain view
Take a look, open your eyes, He’ll show life to you
Have you ever stood in the family with the Lord there in your midst
Seen the face of Christ in your brother, then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.
Have you seen Jesus my Lord, He’s here in plain view
Take a look, open your eyes, He’ll show life to you
If you wish to stay for a wonderful message, here's our Pastor with a message from Luke 18:1-17, "A Nasty Judge, A Pharisee, and Little Kids".
What a pretty song! I'm skipping church today -- they've a guest speaker who I'm not fond of (trying to be nice, lol). But I want to come back a little later to listen to your pastor's message and be fed.
I'm glad you chose to visit here since you were home today. I was also "skipping church", but for a different reason...prepping for my colonoscopy tomorrow, so I've been kind of "busy" today, to put it mildly. LOL. Thank you for visiting. I always love to hear from you.
Thank-you for taking me to church with you today! I loved the song and really enjoyed the message! It really spoke to me. I have been persistent in prayer, and it is true. God is always faithful. I prayed for 5 years for just the right job for me, and God let me teach pre-K. I love it. I had to wait for his timing though. We have to trust Him. He has helped me do everything from the set-up of my classroom to how the kids are taught. He shows me fun ways to teach them that helps them enjoy learning. It is awesome. I am excited to see what He has for this next school year. I loved the Pastor's story at the end and working with kids, yes they do want to share those details with you. It is beautiful and I had not thought about it the way he explained it. That kids like to share details with adults like we like to share details with Jesus. This message has me so encouraged for the school year and so much more. Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed day!
Oh Lori, that blesses my heart to hear how much the pastor's message spoke to you today. I will definitely pass that on to him as I know he would appreciate knowing how this message reached out to you. I can imagine you are a wonderful teacher and your little children are blessed to have you as their first real teacher in pre-K. You have an awesome responsibility, and I am so glad that you let the Lord guide you in what you do and how you teach, etc. What a blessing!!!
Thank you, Barbara. I'm so glad you enjoyed the song and the pictures. And yes, the "bird's eye view of the church" is from a drone. Our Pastor's son does professional photography and took that picture for our church website. It really is remarkable! Thinking of you dear Barbara. (((hugs)))
I'm so impressed by the beautiful voices in your tiny choir, Pamela! How wonderfully everyone sings together. Found it so moving on this Sunday afternoon; definitely drew me closer to the Lord. Blessings, my friend!
Welcome, Chrissy!! I just went over and read your blog posts and want to welcome you back to blogging! I hope we can get better acquainted as the days go by!! God bless you!
A beautiful song and so well illustrated by your photos! Our Pastor had a good message today too, finishing up on Ephesians. He starts Mark next week. Have a blessed week, Pam!! xo
Oh dear Pam! What a beautiful song! I love it. We are in the book of Matthews at church and I have really been enjoying that. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy! I'm so glad you enjoyed the music. And we are both so blessed to have ministers of God who preach the gospel to us faithfully! So very thankful! have a blessed day!
Beautiful blog..thank you for not doing politics…we all know the war and Covid have messed up so much in our lives…we don’t need to keep rehashing it…what bothers me is people are still dying and people complain about prices…thank you again..
Thank you, Brenda. There is much sorrow in this world, but then again, there is still so much beauty and wonder and joy, when we take a look and open our eyes, and we can see Jesus everywhere. That is where my focus needs to be. There are times when I may feel compelled to take a stand to speak the truth, but always with heaven in view.
Thank you for visiting here today. I would love for you to sign my guestbook and let me know you stopped by. I always enjoy reading your comments and words of encouragement! May you be blessed as you go on your way. Please come back and visit again soon.
