Dear Friends in Blogland...this is a special request for prayer for one of our own blogging friends, Martha Jane Orlando of Meditations of my Heart. I just received a message from her husband that Martha is in the hospital with a bad case of bacterial pneumonia, not covid related. I know she had said recently that she was not feeling well, and apparently this is what was working on her. As you may know, Martha's mother passed away this past summer, and it has been a difficult year for her in many ways. Her husband Danny has requested that we pray for Martha, and also wanted to let us know she won't be blogging for a while. I assured him of our prayers, and have requested that he update us whenever he can. Thank you all for your prayers on her behalf.
You may also remember Martha as the author of a series of very excellent books, The Glade Series/Adventures in the Glade. I have read all of these books, and can highly recommend them to young and old alike. I think they were originally intended as children's books, but I found them to be very intriguing and interesting and spiritually redemptive. So if you are looking for something new to read, you might want to check these out.
I will update you whenever I hear more from her husband Danny. Thank you again, friends!
I thought you all might enjoy seeing these pictures I captured here on Still Waters Pond recently:
Oh no...keeping Martha in prayer. I don't know her or her blog etc...but will most def. keep her and her family in prayer.

DeleteYes, I was stunned and sad to read about our friend on Lulu James' blog. I, too, am a fan of her blog -- as well as the Glade book series. Continuing prayers!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Myra. I know Martha and Danny will greatly appreciate your prayers.
DeleteI also heard from Danny and assured him of my prayers for both Martha and him. I'm glad it isn't Covid but it is still very serious.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Terri. Yes, I agree, I am glad it isn't covid, but pneumonia is bad no matter what the source. I pray that God will intervene on her behalf and that she will soon be feeling much much better.
DeleteHonored to pray for Martha Jane. Praying that her recovery is quick and complete.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Yes, praying in agreement with you.
DeleteThough I do not know Martha, I am adding my prayers. Praying for good protocols and proper medications and a good response to them. The Lord is mighty and able.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Vee. Amen!
DeleteSo sorry to hear that, thank you for letting us know. This is tough time to be in the hospital with all the Covid related issues. Let's hope she's stay clear of that and is back home feeling better soon. "Martha" and (HUGS) for her family.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandy. Yes, I am agreeing with you in prayer on Martha' behalf. Amen.
DeleteMay God touch Martha and restore her health.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ruth. I know God is listening to our prayers and He is working on her behalf already. Amen.
DeletePraying for Martha.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. God is listening to our prayers!
DeletePrayers for Martha and Danny. Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne. Agreeing with you in prayer on their behalf. Amen.
DeleteI don't follow Martha Jane. So sorry to hear of her troubles! Thanks for sharing her need that we may bring her to the Throne of Grace for healing. I would also suggest that her husband request the Church Leaders, and any other interested Believer, gather at her bedside and anoint her for healing. God tells us specifically to do just this.
ReplyDelete“They cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them”. Mark 6:13
Amen. I pray that they will do that, in Jesus' Name. But even if they don't, we can pray for them from a distance and God will still hear and act upon our request. Thank you for praying. Martha is a wonderful Christian woman, and I know she will greatly appreciate all our prayers.
