Happy Saturday Morning

Good Morning!  I hope this finds everyone having a great Saturday morning!  We are having a great time even though it is a cloudy, chilly, possibly rainy day. It rained during the night and it promises to rain again later, but right now it is just damp and cold. Not a great day to be outside.

If you've been following The Adventures of Lily Grace with me each day, here is the latest episode:  Critters and Family Fun

These pictures are just a teaser for the rest of the post, which is much more relaxed and calm...

So I hope you will come over and spend a little time with us as we also count our three blessings (gifts) for each day and explore God's wonderful world around us.

I know some of you have asked if you should comment here or over on Lily's page...well, either way is fine...I just hope you are enjoying her adventures. I know sometimes I need some more "adult conversation", so I may slip back over here for that...but Lily Grace seems to be teaching us some good things even if it is from the perspective of a child.

Thank you again for visiting. I look forward to visiting with you as well. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe!

    1. Thank you, Barbara. Yes, these guys all humor me quite often. They've learned through the years that since I was the only woman in the family raising three sons and a husband that they had to allow me some girl stuff to keep me sane and happy. I mean, I don't even have a granddaughter! So something's gotta give!! LOL. I am thankful and blessed.

    1. Yes, they are. They love to humor their poor deprived mother since there were no little girls to play with in the family. I never got to play dollies and have tea parties with my children. I had to play with cars and trucks and trains and cops and robbers and cowboys and indians. Which was all fine of course, but sometimes we big girls just want to be a little girl again... (((hugs)) to you.

    1. Thank you Penny. Yes my family pretty much humors me in all of my silliness. Since I was the only female in the family all of their growing up years, they had to understand that sometimes girls just want to have girl fun. Having no daughters or granddaughters has left me feeling a bit deprived of getting to play with dollies and having tea parties and such with little people. My little boys were just too rough and ready for that kind of stuff. (Which is fine with me...boys should be boys...)so now I am making up for lost time. Our weather has been rather changeable lately. Last night we had major thunderstorms and a tornado watch. Thankfully nothing terrible developed, but we did get a lot of rain and it helped fill the pond back up, which is a good thing. Today now the sun is shining and it is warming up to 70 something. Not sure what will happen next. This is "spring" weather in Florida during the winter months. Kind of typical. Hope you are doing well. I need to go see what you just wrote! Bye for now!

    1. Ha ha! That's a good one! Actually, I have a friend who is making her a little shirt that says I'm Mom's favorite. I guess we should have thought about that before she did it. That would be cute too!! Thank you for visiting! I love to make new friends! Did you go over and meet Lily Grace at her blog? I hope you will. That where I am hanging out most of the time these days! She just has so much she wants to do so I don't have much time here these days! LOL. Have a blessed day!

  9. Those are great pictures and they are such good sports! In 2006 we went on a cruise to Alaska with several friends from church. I belonged to a Country Graphics Web group. One of the women had been a teacher and she had this stuffed mouse called Elliot. He would visit different webhomes and the women would take pictures of where they lived with Elliot. So that is what you do with Lily. I am off to visit her now.

    1. Thank you, Susan! I am so glad you came to visit, and I hope you visiting Lily Grace over at her page. She is always up to something fun. Yes, my guys are all very good sports. They humor their silly mother and have pity on me since there were no other girls in the family...now I have a sweet daughter in love here, which helps! I am thankful to not be the only girl anymore!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

  10. I can see how they are "acting" ha ha LOL, but we all know they really love her! ha ha LOL Right? I remember making hobo soup in Girl Scouts too, or maybe it had a different name, nope, don't think so. We also made "surprise soup" when we were camping. Everybody is instructed to bring one can of soup, then we all dump in in and whatever comes out, that is the soup we ate! Ha ha. WEll, when we were little girls I think we thought that WAS FUN!!? lol. I loved Girl Scouts, stayed in til Senior scouts I think? Started at Brownie. It was very different back then and a really good program, not sure what it has become today.

    1. Yes, they are very good actors...they humor me a lot since I am the only girl, or was until I got my daughter in law. Yes, I was in Brownies until Girl Scouts, and I enjoyed it a lot. We did a lot of fun stuff. Nowadays they have made it more a wing of the liberal women's agenda, and they support Planned Parenthood and other very liberal ideas, and it's not the same as it was. If I had a little girl today we would look for something different than that. Sad to say. It is another sign of the 'times'.
