In today's episode of The Adventures of Lily Grace, you will get two adventures for the price of one! But I am not going to give away any clues here. You have to click on that link and travel over to Lily's place to find out what it's all about!! I do hope you will...and I hope that you are all having a wonderful Friday!! Friday Fotos are over there too...
I've been a little remiss in posting the last couple of days...just a lot going on, but all good. I hope to catch up with each of you later. Our kids are coming over for spaghetti supper in a little while...they are bringing the spaghetti sauce and garlic bread and we are making the salad and cooking the spaghetti noodles...so I need to get going and get the table ready for "company". Yes, it's family, but they are still company and I like to at least have the table looking presentable, and right now it is littered with mail, odds and ends, and stuff. So ta ta! I will check in later I hope and see what you've been up to.
Have a blessed and wonderful weekend,
Love,
Pam and Lily Grace!
I know you enjoyed your spaghetti supper with the kids!! Sounds delicious! xo
ReplyDeleteOh it was great! We always have a good time with the kids! Especially since I didn't have to do ALL the cooking! And they helped clean up afterwards now that I don't have a DW anymore.
DeleteWasn't sure if I should comment here or at Lily Grace's:) What a cute idea! This reminds me so much of a project I did with my second graders one year. We paired with a class in Australia. We sent them a teddy bear (one of mine because I collected them) and they sent us a "wallabee" (not sure that's spelled right!) Each student would take the wallabee home for a night or the weekend and would take it wherever they went. They would (hopefully) take a photo or two and also had to write about their time together in a journal. We also swapped letters & goodies with our Australian friends. At the end of the year each little buddy was sent back to their home with the journal full of stores and pictures. It was a fabulous project that the kids loved, but I did it only one year:( It cost me $30 to send a box over there!!! Lily Grace reminds me of all my granddaughter's American Girl dolls. She just "had" to have one every year for several years. She's outgrown them now but she sure loved those dolls. Lily Grace is very fortunate to be part of such a loving family:)
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Cheri! You may comment here or there...Lily Grace loves to get "mail" from friends over at her place, and she always answers every one. Yes, Lily Grace is kind of my own "pen-pal project". But she will stay here with me and not get sent back anywhere. One of our blogging friends from Charleston, SC, sent her to me and she has one identical to her. We swap letters/pictures through email, but I kind of designed Lily's blog to be letters back to them. Lily has become a welcome little member of our "family". She is only 14" tall, so not as big as the American Girl dolls, but more easy to carry around to places. Although I do not really take her inside the stores, etc. I don't want people to think I'm that "crazy"...LOL. We have fun and her adventures seem to be blessing people as they read them, so that makes me very happy. I love your "wallabee" project...kind of like the "flat Stanley" that some children have sent around for the same kind of school project. Very creative!! I think it was well worth the $30.00 for all of the wonderful experiences the children gained from doing that. Although I know teachers pay way too much out of their pockets as it is. I am sure you were a wonderful 2nd grade teacher! You made learning fun. Best kind of teacher!! Bless you and thank you for your sweet comments.
DeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend .
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ruth. We are off to a great start! But it is raining right now...which is fine with me. Our pond was beginning to dry up again, which is normal for this time of year. The spring rains help refresh it and bring it back just in time for the water lilies to start blooming again. So all is good. Hope you have a blessed and beautiful weekend too.
