California Fire Emergency~UPDATE! PRAISE GOD!

UPDATE, AND THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!  I heard from our cousin Linda this afternoon, and she said, "We got our miracle! Our house was spared!"  She wants everyone to know that God answered our prayers, and she thanks you for praying. They HOPE to be able to get back home tomorrow, if the way is clear for them to pass. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.  I'm not sure that they will have any power when they get there, and I'm sure the devastation in their area will be vast.  Prayers for those who didn't get their "miracle".

Please pray for those in the path of these horrific wildires in southern California.  We just talked to my husband's cousin, who lives in Pasadena, CA, and they were forced to evacuate their home last night. They are currently in a hotel about an hour away because that is all they could find. Power is out everywhere and the hotels are full and they are price gouging because so many have had to evacuate.  The fire is VERY close to our cousin's home, so they do not know if they will even have a home to return to.  They know they cannot stay in the hotel because of the expense, so please pray for them to find a reasonable alternative that they can get to today.   Thank you for your prayers on their behalf.

  5. This is terrible! O Father God, help these cousins and the so many others who are affected by this fire. Cause the winds to cease, put out the fires, protect those fighting the fires, strengthen those who are helping in so many ways. Convict those who are taking unkind advantage of those who need shelter, food, help in so many ways. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

  8. Prayers continue for your family members affected by this horrific tragedy. We've been following all the news on Fox. What these people are going through is more than anyone should have to bear.

  9. I can't watch too much of it - it brings me dread. Sadly, they don't get the rain like we do up here, so they are very dry, and those winds don't help.
Continued prayers for your cousin and the rest of the community who have lost everything - from cars to animals to their homes. It's awful. The trauma of this will last a long time.

  10. I couldn't comment earlier because I only had my phone, but I have been praying and I'm so glad to read the update. Wonderful news. But, I feel so bad about all of the people losing everything. Homes, business, schools, etc. I'm sure the end result will be devastating.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  11. My brother-in-law and his family are safe as is my sister-in-law. My nephew and my niece's husband are both on duty fighting the fires. One is LAFD and the other is LA County Sheriff Dept.
I also checked in with my friend in So Pasadena. No power but they are safe.
I am thankful your cousin and her family are ok.

  12. prayers lifted before I type.. the fire got even worse overnight and the winds just keep blowing.. the last count said 155,000 evacuated, but its probably more... just being without power is bad enough all by itself.. been there done that and don't want to do it again.

  15. Good news, for sure. I hope the homes in their immediate area were spared, too. When a next-door house burns, there can be surprising (as in shocking) damage later discovered in the house that did not burn.

  16. Good news. Hope we hear more good news soon. Keep warm down there during this deep freeze. The nation is being slapped around right now.. prayers for all of it.

  17. It is upsetting to even know that fires in areas in CA had to happen. I know there are helpful people that help others in need, including taking them away from their house. I have a friend that flew to LA the first time the fire started. He is a head man of a specific jewelry store. He wound up flying back home that day. He will know more soon about the work there. I am glad some people who know are ok for now. Praying for all those in the area and fireman, etc. God bless, Becky

  18. Thankful that your cousin's home was spared and praying that your husband's cousin will have a home to come home to. So very sad.
I'm hearing that Florida is not the balmy paradise this week! I hope it's warmer when I fly down in a couple weeks. Stay warm and safe.
