Tuesday 4: Name That Show!

 Name that Show!

Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4. (Click here to join in the fun)

Here is a repeat of one Toni used in January of 2019....

Name 1 Or More

1. Name a TV series show or shows in which you have seen every episode at least twice:
Maine Cabin Masters, I Love Lucy, And these: Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, Night Court -only because they are some of my hubby's favorite old shows. LOL

2. Name a show or shows you can't or would not miss:
Maine Cabin Masters, Hometown.  When I was a kid it would have been so many good ones...Lassie, Sky King, My Friend Flicka, Fury, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Zorro, The Lone Ranger, Captain Kangaroo, I Love Lucy, Lawrence Welk (because my parents made us watch it, but I grew to like it too). We loved watching Carol Burnette, Perry Como, Dinah Shore, Andy Williams, Bonanza, Superman (the old one), Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, The Mickey Mouse Club, American Bandstand, I Dream of Jeannie, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, The Beverly Hillbillies, oh there were so many good TV shows back then. I miss them and wish they had good shows like that today.  You can see that I am "dating myself" by listing these old shows from the 50's and 60's.

3. Name an actor or actors that would make you more inclined to watch a show:
Current actors? Hmmm, I don't know... I am way behind in the times. If it were years ago I used to love to watch Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide. That's when he was young. LOL.  Seems like all the good ones are gone. If it were old movies it would be Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, John Wayne, Gary Cooper, Katharine Hepburn, and so many more. I don't watch many programs today except for things on "YouTube" with my hubby, and they don't have actors...just real people.

4. Name an actor or actors who would make you less likely to watch a show:
Jane Fonda, oh, there are probably a lot but I won't even mention their names as they are not worth the mention.

Hope you have a fun day!  It's chilly here this morning again...46 right now, which is kind of nice. Hubby is starting to feel better, praise God! We are thankful for so many blessings.  Hope your day is blessed as well!

Only one photo today...this patch of wild "Lady Lupine" found out in the woods where we take our walks!

I love discovering these wildflowers in surprising places. Of course I always bring home some to enjoy while they last!

Okay, that's all for today folks!

  1. I'm with you on the Jane Fonda! Yes, I remember all those old shows, Pamela, and I much prefer them over today's television offerings. Morals and values used to take center stage as we were growing up, and I'm grateful for that.
    The flowers are lovely, too!
    Blessings!

  2. We remember the same shows, Bob and i are watching on netflix all 9 seasons of Seinfeldt, we saw them new and now there is nothing we want to watch. I love lucy and andy Griffith run on the TV's in the doctors offices so maybe 4 or 5 times on those.
I always look for Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson all old as are most of their movies. the only TV shows we never miss are
The Voice, Americas Got Talent and American Idol. that and Blue Bloods are the only 4 we have that auto record on the DVR,, the other new shows we can't stand

  3. We like Maine Cabin Masters too. We didn't have a tv when I was a kid, so I never saw a lot of those older shows.
I like Survivor and The Voice now.

  4. Right there with you on Jane Fonda! Tom Cruise. I wish actors would keep their mouths shut about politics and religion and not ruin it for us. Sometimes I'll learn about someone's leanings and I can't enjoy anything they're in anymore. Being a Vintage 1950-edition, I can totally relate to the childhood shows we used to watch. One of the all-time highlights of my growing up years was getting see and pet 'Flicka' at the New Mexico state fair. (Some wealthy rancher bought it for his horse-crazy daughter ... I wanted to be her!)
My first crush was on Clint as Rowdy Yates! I still like him, together with (hmmm...)
Tom Hanks, Cillian Murphy, Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton. So many of the good ones have passed.

  5. I remember most of the ones you mentioned and I really enjoy all those you listed from the movies. I would probably add Doris Day to the list.

  7. Agree on Fonda but even with her past I never thought she could act anyway! The older TV shows are better than most of what is on today. I tried to watch Yellowstone but found it to be just so unfriendly with awful characters. I was disappointed since I like ranch/western shows. Oh well back to the drawing board.

  8. Your answers sure brought back a lot of memories. I always laugh when I see an answer for the show Lassie Because it was one of my daughter's favorite TV show. She would call the dog Blassie... and at the end when Lassie would put up "her" paw...My daughter would put up her arm too (like the way Lassie would put up her paw). I always thought Lassie was a girl dog... (with the name of course, then I read in a magazine that they actually used a male dog. (not 1oo % sure of that! Smile

  9. Star Trek and The Twilight Zone used to be my go to shows when I was a kid. I was a big sci-fi / horror fan. Kinda lost my enjoyment for watching them. Now it's all British Detective TV shows and their escapism. Can't get enough of 'em.
    Blessings. 💙

  11. I agree with you on the old shows. I never heard of Maine Cabin Masters. I still watch the old shows most evenings. I watch Perry Mason, Leave It to Beaver, Hogan's Heroes, and Adam-12, also MASH. We get them on cable channels. (Some of these are not as old as the others but I find them good shows.)

  12. Oh, what a beautiful lupines. I used to have lupines at home too. If my memory isn't playing tricks on me, they were pink, and I found them so beautiful.

  13. Oh the lupines are so pretty. We watch lots of TV shows so I probably look like I sit in front of the tube all day hee hee....I never watch daytime TV. We do have lots of favorites. Plus we tape some shows. Lately Avery has been watching the old Adam 12 series. Those were very good and clean , ah...the good ole days.
