Before you creep out and turn away because you don't like spiders, please take a few moments to appreciate the artistry and beauty of this, one of God's most interesting engineers and builders...
The Golden Silk Orb-Weaver:
This magnificent creature was busily repairing/building his nest early yesterday morning...
Look at the precision of these strands...like a harpist playing his harp...
Perhaps he is playing a song of praise on this "harp" as he works...
Can you appreciate the precision and symmetry of this design?
Like a perfect figure eight...
I don't know about you, but to me, this is such a marvelous demonstration of God's amazing creative "genius" at work...
I just thought it was worthy of notice today...
"Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,
Who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who prepares rain for the earth,
Who makes grass to grow on the mountains,
He gives to the beast its food,
and to the young ravens that cry.
He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
In those who hope in His mercy."
Psalm 147:7-11
I certainly hope in His mercy! Just think how much more God loves us. It is amazing how beautifully the spider constructs his web. I don't like spiders though.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a beautiful day!
Wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteThe web is beautiful, so is the spider, I don't like spiders!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! We have had these spiders in the past, but haven't seen them for several years. They are very interesting to watch, although the size of them is a little scary!
ReplyDeletePam: Thank you for sharing these pictures with us. I have never seen anything quite as intricate.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like spiders at all. But that web is gorgeous and amazing. God's creation is so beyond my imagination. Thank you so much for sharing this and getting me to look at this wonder.
ReplyDeleteWhat a majestic creature, joyfully displaying the gifts God has given it. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely spider with us today, Pamela.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Spiders really are amazing in the way they create their webs to capture their food. Aggravating when they get in the way or you accidentally walk through one, but still beautiful work by one of God's creatures!
ReplyDeleteWow, Pam, your photos of the spider and its web are amazing! There's so much creativity in nature if we have eyes to see. I love how the whole of creation praises the Lord.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
These 'figure eight' pictures, in particular, are amazing. Such a beautiful post, Pamela!
ReplyDeletePam, I am so glad to know that someone else appreciates the precision and beauty of a spider's web. I have a little ritual in the mornings of going to the front porch and seeing what beautiful design has been left for me to enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteLady...I love looking through your eyes. The pictures are wonderful. You are God's Masterpiece too! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI could not agree with you more about the work that spider is doing. The spider itself kinda creeps me out, although he (or she) does have its own beauty. But since God created that spider and it weaves that beautiful creation, I can't help but agree with you that the spider is singing its praise to God. Beautiful post, Pamela. (I do feel sorry though for the bugs trapped in that web who will be singing the blues.)
ReplyDeleteIn the temple service there were 3 services per day which are continued in a memorial oral sense today in Orthodox Jewish prayer, which is done 3 times a day, as Daniel did. It was really the temple service. In the morning is Shacharit, in the afternoon Mincha (min-ha) where most sacrifice takes place (Christ died during Mincha) and at night, Maariv (Mah-ah-reeve).
ReplyDeleteNow I have seen since I was a child that birds pray there 3 times a day.
They sing at shacharit, mincha and maariv every single day!
So even the animals praise God in what they do.
