Hold Everything!! This is just a quick note to tell you that my computer died...I am using hubby's laptop, but all my good stuff, pictures, etc., are in my old computer...so my communication here may be limited for a while until I get this issue resolved one way or another...Not a happy camper right now!!
I can't get to my normal picture editing program to refine my photos...but thought you'd like to see what made us stop in the road yesterday...This Eagle was holding up traffic so he could eat his lunch!
Then he flew up to this tree to wait for us to drive by...but he kept his "eagle eye" on his prey to be sure none of the local buzzards flew off with it before he could get back to it.
I know I've quoted this verse many times, as have many of you...but it always bears repeating and seems appropriate in this situation...especially to help me remember to wait on the Lord while waiting on this computer situation to be resolved.
"But those who wait on the Lord
shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31
Maybe the Lord wanted me to take some time out to concentrate on other things in this last week before our son's wedding on Nov. 11...that's probably a good idea...I DO have plenty to keep me busy.
So, friends...until we meet again...(whenever my hubby lets me use his laptop...) I hope that you will be blessed and happy. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers! Hope to "see" you again soon.
Eagles are SO majestic. Great photos. Sorry about your computer troubles. I always say the only thing worse than car trouble is computer trouble. And now you have had both. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird! Terrible lunch.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time “away!” A break is always a good thing, even if it’s because of computer problems.
I'm so sorry your computer died, Pamela! But maybe this did happen in God's timing so that you can focus totally on the upcoming wedding.
ReplyDeleteEdited or not, your photos are stunning! And that verse from Isaiah never grows old. A perfect match for your pictures.
Blessings!
Pam, I'm so sorry to hear about your computer issues--they are great until they don't work. Beautiful photos of the eagle--they do like to keep an eye on their meal when traffic disrupts their meal! Enjoy your unplanned break from the computer!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I'm so sorry about your computer, Pam! November 11 isn't far away so I'm sure you have a lot on your plate otherwise anyway. I did want to mention that I posted the cookie recipes on the blog yesterday...with YOU in mind. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI never thought about the regal eagle having roadside fare! How blessed you are to see the wildlife that you do. Here's hoping the best for you and your computer. I had to buy a new laptop earlier this year myself. A wedding coming up so close? You may be better off without the computer for a few days. I'm glad you have your camera though.
ReplyDeleteI think my comment got lost.. hmm.
ReplyDeleteI went to Florida when I was 21 with my new husband. He was a native Floridian from Miami Dade area, very southern. Taught me to like grits and the Gulf of Mexico , I would love to come back down some time as I enjoyed it a lot.
Your photos make me eager to come . I especially like the rural areas and your photos show them off so well. Its a glorious area.
You might like to try PicMonkey for photo editing. I use photoshop but its hugely expensive and even the free ones available take up much space on a laptop. Just impossible.
PicMonkey has a pay part to it, but the free part is easy to use, very adequate for adjusting photo color, brightness, sharpness and adding frames, etc. You can even add words. You dont have to download anything either. So give it a try, Easy to use!
Hugs
Also BigHugeLabs has some photo editing and no downloading to do.
DeleteLots of fun things like collage, etc there. Check that out as well.
Thank you, Annie, for these ideas regarding photo editing. When I get my new computer I will check them out. I'm just not happy about making all these changes. I thought I was all set...but life is never quite "all set", is it? Thankful for God to see me through...
