It's Blueberry Time!

I hope you will go visit "The Adventures of Lily Grace" and see what we've been up to today.  I am sorry I didn't get the Tuesday 4 meme done about Spring time and the seasons, but maybe this will suffice...this is something special about where we live in spring time! It blueberry picking time already where we live!

Here are a few pictures to help you appreciate what we did today...but please read the WHOLE story up above over at It's Blueberry Time! with Lily Grace.

And now I have to go eat a piece of that pie while it is still warm!!
Yes, this is something I think I can get used to in springtime here where we live!!
Bye bye for now.

  2. Yummy...blueberries! I remember picking blueberries with my mom in North Carolina many years ago, probably at least 35-40 years ago.

  3. That pie looks so good. I am sure those fresh picked berries taste so much better than any I can get in the store.

    1. Yes, they are delicious, and so juicy! That's the only thing with the pie...a LOT of juice, so we have to eat it in a bowl with a spoon! Yummy.

    1. I wonder if they grow them down near you like the strawberries...I always thought of blueberries as more of a northern crop, but apparently they grow well around here because there are several large blueberry farms. So good luck finding some there too.

  5. Where we live now in SE Georgia is known for it's Blueberries. Many of our neighbors grow them on a massive scale. Blueberries is one of my fav's too. Yum. The native Blackberries (aka Dewberries) will be comin' in next month. They're growing all along the roadsides. Should have a bumper crop this year. xx

    1. I remember picking wild blackberries up in the mountains in NC in the summertime and making the best blackberry cobbler ever!! Just gotta watch out for the prickers on the stems. But I do love them too.

  7. Wow, I had no idea blueberries were so early! They look great. I used to love them with lots and lots of granulated sugar on them and some Cool Whip, too!
