"Throne Room"

I was traveling home today from town in the rain, and this song played on the radio...and as I looked into the sky, I felt transported into "The Throne Room" of God.
I took these pictures of the clouds ahead of me in the sky...they really don't do justice to the scene that was being displayed, but perhaps you will get the idea...

Throne Room
Dream after dream, You are

Speaking to me, breathing
Word after word of kingdom come
Here at Your feet, I can
See the unseen, truly
One look at You and I'm undone

I run to the throne room

I run to the throne room
And I fall on my face

With angels and saints
And all I can say is
Holy, holy, holy are You, God
My heart can't contain
The weight of Your name
And all I can say is
Holy, holy, holy are You

Grace upon grace, all my

Fear falls away, only
Your perfect love for me remains
Oh, time after time You stay
Close by my side, burning
Fire inside I can't contain
I run to the throne room

I run to the throne room

I run to the throne room
before You, the Only One,
I run to the throne room
before You, I'm overcome!
I run to the throne room
before You, the Only One,
I run to the throne room,
before You, I'm overcome!

And I fall on my face

With angels and saints
And all I can say is
Holy, holy, holy are You, God
My heart can't contain
The weight of Your name
And all
I can say is
Holy, holy, holy are You, God

I hope you entered the "Throne Room" with me as we sang along...Do you ever have such moments?  I pray that you do...we can worship the Lord wherever we are...whenever we sense His Presence...whenever all we can say is
"Holy, holy, holy are You, God!"
Amen.

  1. I treasure those moments. They also usually occur when I'm in the car alone. Today on the way to Bible study, I was listening to my music and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir singing In Your Presence. It took me away. So beautiful to be in His presence.

    1. Thank you for understanding this Nonnie...Yes, I love those moments when we are transported into God's Presence...and yes, it is usually while driving alone in my car (which doesn't happen very often for me now that I'm retired, but this was one of those rare occasions) Such a glorious moment...just me and the Lord. Our God is an awesome God!

    1. Thank you, Terri. I love how God provides the moment...and that we are aware enough to see it and experience it...that is His gift to us. So happy to be able to share it with my friends.

  3. Pretty skies even in a storm! I'm glad you found something 'extra' in them too.

    1. Yes, of course it was much better in person at the moment, but I still can see what I was seeing...the Light of God was shining through the storm, and it was a gift of peace in the midst of the storm. I can also see a cherub face in the last picture in particular...and I thought about the Seraphim around the Throne of God, singing "Holy, Holy, HOly is the Lord of Hosts" Isaiah 6:3

  4. Precious moments, Pamela! Love the long road you were driving on, looks like you could have driven right up to God's throne Room.

    1. That is exactly how I was feeling, Sylvia! This is the road that I used to travel every day back and forth to work for so many years...I spend many hours in God's Throne room on those days...it was 45 minutes one way to work...and much of that time was during the years we were praying for our son during his battle for his life...so I feel like this was definitely my Throne Room and battleground in prayer. So thankful for God's sustaining grace.

  5. I do have those moments in the throne room as well. It can be in the car, in the yard, anywhere when I feel His presence and praise Him for those times.

    1. Aren't they precious? Yes, I look forward to those special times alone with our Lord...and it can be most anywhere that He can get my undivided attention...marvelous moments of prayer and praise and worship.

  6. Amen, Pamela! I do have those moments when God's presence overwhelms me - how precious these are! And I do love your photos of the rain clouds. Do I see a silver lining? :)
    Blessings!

    1. Thank you, Martha. yes, there may be a "silver lining"...as there always is when God is present. He helps us to see that silver lining when the world tries to blur it out of our vision. Oh to have eyes to see His Presence more clearly every day.

  7. I treasure moments like that, too. I can't wait to listen to the song. I love the lyrics. I enjoyed your comments on my post today. I have some neighbors in their nineties and I am amazed at their stories of childhood.

    1. Thank you, Karen. I think you will appreciate this song. I know it really touched me..the moment was just right, and God was very present. Yes, I am a true child of the 50's. We really had a blissful existence back then compared to now. I feel sorry for today's kids. They really don't know how to "pretend" and use their imaginations to play. That is what I loved most. Yes, I also love to listen to those from my parent's generation. They have so much wisdom to share if we just take the time to listen.

  8. Another amazing post, Pamela! It's amazing to be able to go to God's throne room in prayer and other forms of worship.

God's handiwork in the skies is awe inspiring!
