She may have been warning others to stay away... (aren't her facial markings interesting?)
Or perhaps she wanted to let them know that she'd found some tasty tiny baby grapes and grapevines
Actually, she was alone, having a grapevine feast all by herself outside our kitchen window this evening. She's been coming around the house frequently this week...and as I look at that bulging tummy, I'm thinking she is eating for more than just herself... what do you think? Time will tell.
I'll be watching to see what "develops"...
I thought you'd enjoy this enDEERing moment!!
Oh! She looks like a mommy to be. I'd be eating those grapes too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a tranquil moment. Her facial markings really are unusual.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right about her being pregnant! Hope she keeps coming around so we can follow her through your photos and blog!! Her markings are different and pretty!!
ReplyDeleteDeer are so pretty. I was surprised how extremely long their eyelashes are when I met one at a petting zoo.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures as always.
I echo the others, she looks as if she is with child. I love to see these pictures of God's creatures. They look so tranquil. Peace and blessings.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are some of the best you've ever shared, Pamela! Yes, I think your suspicions are right about that bulging belly of hers. Maybe once the fawn arrives, she'll bring it with her. Now that would be a super photo!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
You have some lovely neighbors, although keeping them out of the garden flowers can be a problem!
ReplyDeletePamela, what amazing photos you captured of the deer. Yes, it does appear that she's an expectant mama.
ReplyDeleteAhh...yes, abiding in the vine...is simply being attached to the vine--no work, no effort--what a relief! I also thought of Psalm 42 when I saw your photos.
Blessings!
