This post was to be a follow-up to the one written a few days ago, "Finding Your Voice" (Click HERE for that post). After publishing that particular blog, I was surprised to see that the Christian contemporary singer Natalie Grant had written a new book with the exact same title! Click HERE for more about that!
So it seems as though this is a message that God is trying to get across to us...and to each individual it may be a little bit different approach, but the idea is still the same..."Find Your Voice" and use it for the glory of God. Whether it be a voice of ministry, teaching, singing, writing, creativity (crafts, art, photography, quilting, ceramics-many voices there)...a voice of kindness, encouragement, compassion, exhortation, counseling... Whatever your voice...speak boldly and with confidence!
In thinking more about this topic I was led to the following scriptures regarding voices with a message for all of us during these days of decision, confusion, and concern regarding the future of our nation and world...
P.S.: I almost forgot that in my original post that got deleted I had included this song, "O Zion, Haste". This is an old hymn that I am sure many of you will remember. Put on your sound and enjoy singing this beautiful hymn with me...and pay attention to the words as you sing. Such a message here!
I am linking up with Deb at Friday Foto Friends today. I hope you will join in and see what others are sharing as well.
Oh, Pamela, your words have inspired me so much! Whatever God places upon our hearts, we cannot be afraid to speak up, to stand up for Him.
ReplyDeleteAnd we certainly do need to seek His voice in order to be His tried and true messenger here on earth; to do what He has destined us to do. May we all be brave and true when it comes to Him!
Thanks for stopping by my blog (http://marthaorlando.blogspot.com), and blessings to you!
Thank you Martha! Yes, it is getting more and more urgent that we be not afraid to speak out...when we know that God is leading us and urging us onward. The world wants to snuff out our voices and place us in a basket of undesirable people because we hold to the truth from God's Word. May we never allow our light to be removed from this earth. Thank you for your courage as well!
DeleteYour photos and your testimony are powerful today. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank You Terri. Praying that God will continue to give us a voice of courage as well as encouragement. So thankful for this opportunity.
DeleteWonderful post. We all have a voice that God can use and it is so rewarding to find ours. Thanks for sharing the video. I'd not heard that hymn before. Loved the rolling waves at the beginning. Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie. I am so thankful that we have this forum to find our voice and share how God is blessing and guiding and providing. I'm glad you enjoyed the hymn...that's an old one, and some hymnbooks from different denominations have more verses or some different verses, but all with the same theme. "Publish glad tidings...tidings of peace! Tidings of Jesus' redemption and release!" What better message could we have?
DeleteBeautiful post Pamela. Encouragement and love shine through. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day ahead.
ReplyDeleteThank you Toni. I'm so happy you could stop by for a visit today. May you be blessed and encouraged and have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteLovely message and photos. That is the first verse my daughter memorized in Sunday school when she was a child, The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever. Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh how precious! What a wonderful verse for children to learn at an early age. I love that! I remember my oldest son, when he was about 2, saying "God makes everything boootiful!" Such precious memories...and such a wonderful God who does make everything beautiful...and His Word stands forever...no matter what this old world tries to do! Thank you!
DeletePam, Once again you have shared such an amazing array of photos--you certainly have a gift for taking photos. Likewise, I appreciate your encouragement to find and share our voices in the area God has gifted us. It's rewarding to use the gifts God planted in us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Yes, it is so rewarding. What I love is that I can sit here in my home and communicate with wonderful people all over the country (& world!), and we can encourage one another with words of hope, pictures, stories, poems, and precious Christian friendship. Such a blessing! So happy so many are finding their voices and being faithful to use them in a positive way!
DeleteBeautiful post! Lovely photos and good words for us to remember.
ReplyDeleteThank you Annie. I am so glad you stopped by. It is wonderful to have friends from so many places who can share words of hope and encouragement and lovely pictures as well. You have such a marvelous gift for painting...that is truly a lovely "voice".
DeleteBeautiful posts, Pamela. That is one of my favorite scriptures, although I have to say I have hundreds of favorites! I love God's Word and it is always a blessing to find other friends who do as well.
ReplyDeleteThe supply is limitless! We could go on and on and on and never run out of wonderful Words from God's Word. I love it when He puts it all together with the things I see right around me. It is an awesome thing to me, and I am so happy I can share it with others as well.
DeleteThis is beautiful....Scripture and pictures and words of wisdom. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie! May Jesus Christ be praised! Thank you for making our Friday Foto Friends possible. May your week be blessed with many new pictures of God's Grace!
