Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

"Morning Has Broken"
Thought you'd enjoy hearing the birds singing from my morning walk today.
"Morning has broken like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken
Like the first bird
Praise for the singing!
Praise for the morning!
Praise for them, springing
Fresh from the Word!"
"Sweet the rain's new fall
Sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dew-fall
On the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness
Of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness
Where His feet pass."
"Mine is the sunlight!
Mine is the morning
Born of the one Light
Eden saw play!
Praise with elation,
Praise every morning,
God's re-creation of the new day!"

Beautiful, sounds like you walked in a rain forest this morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sylvia...it was the dry rain forest! We need rain! But the birds were happy anyway! Thank you for walking along with me.
DeleteThank you, Pam, for sharing the song of the birds from your morning walk this morning. I love to listen to them sing! I also enjoyed this song that you've posted today. I don't believe I've ever heard it before.
ReplyDeleteDianna, I am so happy you walked with me this morning! The birds were trilling their morning praise! If you google "Morning Has Broken" you can find a youtube video with Cat Stevens singing song to the pictures on the video. I didn't post it because there was one picture that I didn't quite understand in the montage of pictures, so I decided not to show it here...but it is a good video with the song otherwise! I bet you'll recognize the song when you hear it. The important thing is...we just need to take a lesson from the birds and sing our praise to our Creator God each day! Blessings to you today.
