Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

Abide in My Love
"I Am the true vine,
and My Father is the vinedresser."
"Every branch in Me that
does not bear fruit
He takes away;
and every branch that bears fruit
He prunes,
that it may bear more fruit."
"You are already clean
because of the word which I
have spoken to you."
"Abide in Me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you,
unless you abide in Me."
"I am the vine,
you are the branches.
He who abides in Me,
and I in him,
bears much fruit;
for without Me you can do nothing."
"If anyone does NOT abide in Me,
he is cast out as a branch
and is withered;
and they gather them and throw them
into the fire,
and they are burned."
"If you abide in Me,
and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you."
"By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit;
so you will be My disciples."
"As the Father loved Me,
I also have loved you;
Abide in My love."
"If you keep My commandments,
you will abide in My love,
just as I have kept
My Father's commandments and
abide in His love."
"These things I have spoken to you,
that MY JOY may remain in you,
and that YOUR JOY
may be FULL!"
"This is My commandment,
that you LOVE ONE ANOTHER
as I have loved you."
"Greater love has no one than this,
than to lay down one's life
for his friends.
You are MY friends if
you do whatever I command you."
~Jesus Christ~
The Gospel of John
15:1-14
There is nothing more that I can add to these words of
Jesus Christ...except believe in Him and you will
have abundant life!
"The thief does not come except to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy.
I (Jesus Christ) have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly."
John 10:10
Amen!
(All pictures are from our beautiful surroundings in our "Camp in the Woods" home. Thank you, Lord, for Your abundance and abiding love! Amen.)

You know what Pamela? This post was a delightful and much needed breath of fresh air after all the gunk I've been seeing and reading on line lately. Thank you. (And I think it's time to purge my FB Feed again. Ha!)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. People get so caught up in what's "right" and "wrong" with the world and forget to just take the time to rejoice in what's beautiful and good in our "world". That's why when I get home at night I spend at least an hour walking around outside and listening to the birds and watching for something new that God has done each day. Then I am refreshed and ready to hear what He has to say to me that I can pass on to my friends. Thank you for being one of my faithful friends who takes the time to listen with me!
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Thank you "jeskmom"! I felt moved by this passage when I read it in my daily devotions yesterday morning, and was compelled to share it with you all. The pictures just sort of fell into place as I wrote. God is good...so good, Amen?
DeleteHope you are having a blessed day today.
One of my favorite passages, Pam. And the photos are breathtaking! Thanks for your thoughtfulness in putting words and pictures together in such a lovely way.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marti! I give the glory to God for His beautiful creation all around us...and HIS words of love and hope!
DeleteI am so happy you came by to visit me here today!!
Such a great post Pamela, and the photo's go so good along with each verse.
ReplyDeleteGod is Good~~All the Time. I love to listen and see His beautiful creations.
I know you do, Sylvia. Somehow I believe we are "kindred spirits"....someday I hope to meet you in person and share a cup of tea and some "blessings" with one another...
DeleteThank you for stopping by today!
