The Time of Singing Has Come

Isaiah 35: 1-6
1.  "The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

2.  It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice;
Even with joy and singing.

The excellence of Carmel and Sharon,
They shall see the glory of the Lord,
The excellency of our God.

3.  Strengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees.
4.  Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
"Be strong, do not fear!

Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God'
He will come and save you."

5.  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6.  Then the lame shall leap like a deer,

and the tongue of the dumb sing,

for waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,

and streams in the desert."

Happy Springtime!
"The time of singing has come!"

"Let Heaven and Nature Sing!"

Raindrops on Roses ~ Friday Foto Friends

Isaiah 35: 1-7a
"The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
Even with joy and singing..."

"The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,

The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.

 They shall see the glory of the Lord,
The excellency of our God."

Strengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees.

Say to those who are fearful-hearted,

"Be strong, do not fear!

Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God;

He will come and save you."

"Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,

And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Then the lame shall leap like a deer,

and the tongue of the dumb sing.

For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
and streams in the desert.
 The parched ground shall become a pool,
and the thirsty land springs of water..."

Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
says the Lord,
Thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me,
and I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me,
when you search for Me with all your heart."

Thursday evening 6/8/17:
I hope you enjoyed this little pictorial couple of days in the life of a beautiful Don Juan Rose.  I began watching this rose unfold its beauty in the midst of the rain showers yesterday, and then again early this morning.  As the sun came out and dried the raindrops, she opened into a glorious, lovely full blossom.  Even the little green spider was happy to make his home there.  In the late afternoon I brought the rose inside the house to enjoy because I knew it would begin to fade in the sun tomorrow.  Little did I realize that I brought along the little green spider as a hitchhiker.  I'm sorry to say that he couldn't stay and play.

As I placed the rose in the green glass vase that belonged to my mother, I set it on the kitchen windowsill where I could enjoy it's loveliness and fragrance as I worked in the kitchen.  While trying to take a good picture of the rose, I noticed the hummingbird was having a little battle outside on the feeder with a small wasp...who kept trying to drive the hummingbird away by attempting to sting him.  Finally I went outside and knocked the wasp off of the feeder, and the hummingbird was able to draw nourishment from the "streams in the desert"...the hummingbird feeder set outside my kitchen window so that I can enjoy his coming and going all day long.

The End

Now please hop over to visit our other "Friday Foto Friends", who are hanging out at Deb's site, "Breathing in Grace".  Have a blessed and happy day my friends!
