| This is a Pygmy Rattlesnake...in my flowerbed by my front door. |

| The yellow tip on his tail is actually his rattler. His mouth is open and he is not happy with us at all. |

| We weren't too happy with HIM either...so HOE, HOE, HOE, off with your head we go! |

| You can see, even without his head, he was still very feisty. He wasn't any larger than the end of our hoe blade...but just as deadly as his larger cousins, the Diamondback Rattlesnake. |

| This lovely "Hummingbird Moth" flew in for a drink just before dusk. He is a large moth with a tongue like a hummingbird...very interesting! |
