Saturday Praise and Whimsy

It's Saturday morning, and I've got nothing special to say....except Thank You, Lord, for getting us safely through another week.  Thank You, for the rain that is falling today...and that the storms did not harm us during the night.  Thank You, Lord, that my mother in law seems a little better today. Yesterday she was not herself at all and we were strongly considering taking her to the hospital today for an evaluation...but today she is resting peacefully and seems to be not quite as disoriented as yesterday.

So, today, Lord, I'd just like to give You thanks for the marvelous ways You continue to care for us, Your children.  Even though we don't deserve Your kindness...You lavishly shower love upon us. I give You praise and thanksgiving today. Thank You!

Now here are a few pictures to bring a smile to our faces...just a little whimsy from God's creation here in my neck of the woods...

"The Lord upholds all who fall...

And raises up all who are bowed down.

The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And You give them their food in due season.

You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them."

Psalm 145: 14-19

Hope you all have a blessed and joyful day!

    1. Actually, I took these pictures earlier this past week. Today was too cold and rainy (this morning). It is dropping down to freezing tonight, so, even though we don't have any snow, it is cold for us Floridians. I plan to go to church tomorrow too...because we have it here in our house! So I don't even have to put on my jacket! Have a blessed Sunday tomorrow...and stay warm!!!

    1. Yes, I know it was scary here too. Sounds like your area caught more of the fierceness of the storm than we did, but it was still like the 4th of July here with the booms and lightning! Try to stay warm tonight and tomorrow!! I just got all my plants covered.

    1. Thank you Martha Jane. Actually, as I told Kim, the robins were only passing through on their way further south. They will be back in the spring on their way back up north. They just stopped here for a pit-stop and a drink! LOL

  5. Pam,
Your post is full of praise and thanksgiving. I love your pictures of God's creation. I second Martha in saying, "so that's where all our robins go in the winter!" :) When I think of squirrels I try to remember how tame they were on the campus where I attended grad school.

    Blessings!

    1. Actually, the Robins are just passing through. I believe they go even further south for the winter, and then pass back through here again on their way back "home". Glad you enjoyed the post. It was fun to see in real life too.

  6. What a special post, Pam! Gratitude is such an important part of our walk with the Lord, isn't it? I am sorry that your mother-in-law was having a bad day yesterday, but thankful that she is doing better today. I trust that it continued throughout the day. I loved the pictures...you are doing such wonderful things with your camera! And the words from Psalm 145 were perfect to go along with your pictures. Glad that you made it safely through the storm last night.

    1. Thank you Terri. I try NOT to feed the squirrels...but they often just help themselves. In this case, he was drinking water from our fountain. I do feed the birds, however. God is good. My MIL is feeling better, but at 93 and w/dementia, every day is a new adventure...
