Welcome to my "Open Window"...a place of hope, encouragement, and adventure as we journey down the road from "Closed Doors" to the new opportunities God places in our pathway. I hope you will take the time to go back and follow the trail of mixed blessings and fears, failures and triumphs from the past and side-trips in the present. Perhaps it will conjure up some of your own special memories, and be an invitation for you to share with others. I look forward to spending this time with you!

Sunday Morning Meditation
Isaiah 43:15-19
15. "I am the Lord, your Holy One,
The Creator of Israel, your King.
16. Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea,
and a path through the mighty waters,
17. Who brings forth the chariot and horse,
The army and the power
(They shall lie down together,
they shall not rise;
They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
18. Do not remember the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
19. Behold, I will do a new thing.
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert."
Have a blessed Sunday!

ReplyDeleteSharing this great quote with you: "“I have a great need for Christ; I have a great Christ for my need.” —Charles H. Spurgeon Have a nice week!
Oh, I love the Spurgeon quote...and yes, isn't it true? Our Christ is GREAT, and He Always is there for us...even goes before us and plans the way and prepares the path for us. We are truly blessed to have such a great Savior. Thank you for your thoughts today.
DeleteThese are beautiful words to live by. A friend used verses 18 and 19 as a theme verse for a small group she led for a few years. I find those words beneficial. Love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love how God brings "new things" into our lives at exactly the right time...He has it all timed out to bless us with His plans and purpose for us. Thank you for your kind words today. Blessings my friend.
DeleteThank you for confirming a word given to me one week ago, that God was doing a "new thing" in my life and the lives of my family members. How exciting!
ReplyDeleteGrace, Jen
Oh, don't you love it when God's plans and our dreams and hopes all come together? Praying now for you and your family as you venture into whatever the "new thing" is that God is doing! May He give you joy for the journey and peace at every turn. Thank you for visiting with me here today. I am just getting acquainted with you at your blog site...I already saw a good review of your book by our mutual friend Cecelia at "quietspirit". It really looks like an excellent book...I may need to "check it out". Blessings to you and yours.
