And so funny friends...
Special memories of dear ones...
These are just a few of my favorite ornaments scattered throughout the tree. Nearly every ornament has some kind of significance and memory attached to it. Our tree would never win any prizes for perfection...but it wins all kinds of prizes for providing a sense of peace, hope and much love for those represented throughout this tree...and happy memories...
Isn't that what Christmas is all about? Peace...Hope...and LOVE for all of mankind? Isn't that why Jesus came to us that day so long ago...to give us peace...hope and love? And aren't we, who are called by His name (Christians), supposed to be sharing that peace, hope and love with everyone we meet? It isn't always easy. We all have our personal challenges with situations in our families, friends, neighbors, work, even churches...but at this time of the year, let us each make an extra special effort to spread Christ's peace, hope and love to all...and then may it continue on throughout the New Year as well. That is my prayer and my hope. May God give me the strength and love to do just that. How about you?
What a beautiful tree! I love your ornaments! There's nothing like the smell & look of a real tree! Thanks so much for sharing! God bless you!
ReplyDeletePam, I am so in love with your Florida Cracker Christmas Tree!! It looks so beautiful with all those special adornments!! Thanks for sharing the before and after!!
ReplyDeleteI can smell the fragrance of that quite large, but beautiful Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteYour ornaments are all so sweet and special, holding I'm sure, some wonderful memories.
Years ago our family would share a new ornament with each other, usually hand made and over the years we ended up with quite a few ornaments, but oh the precious memories.
I love the glass or crystal angels with lights behind them as they shine forth in all their beauty, and I have many adorning our Christmas tree.
We have so many opportunities this time of year, and throughout the year to come along side others sharing the hope that we have in Jesus Christ our Savior.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones~
Oh, what fun to go cut down your CHRIST-mas tree!!! I can just imagine the smell....brings back sweet memories of my childhood when we'd go to a local lot and get our tree with Daddy and Momma. I love all the ornaments, but that last one might be my favorite. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you photo! Big tree, yes!
ReplyDeleteYour tree and ornaments are just gorgeous! I can't have a real tree in my apartment due to fire marshal regulations and that's a bit disappointing but it's the way it is!
ReplyDeleteWe have never cut down our Christmas trees. We went to an artificial one when the needles all fell in the floor of our living room. (Long story.) I like the smell of a real tree. Up here, they dry out so fast they are best taken down soon after the celebration.
ReplyDeletePam, your tree is beautiful! I have to chuckle with your reference to the Griswold's tree. (I haven't seen that movie in years!) The symbolism of the tree is what is meaningful; the ornaments hold memories of special Christmases of the past (and special people too). Now to find my tree (artificial) soon (hopefully tomorrow), so perhaps I can decorate a bit. :) Oh, and my tree will be quite a bit smaller too. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Pamela, your tree is gorgeous and your ornaments are enchanting to say the least. Thank you for spreading Christmas joy, and reminding us to do the same.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
