But I know you blessed them more than you know. :)

Every time I post I think it is ready, but I always end up tweaking and tweaking again. It reminds me of when I used to draw. Sometimes I just don't see the minute details until I step back. Oh well... that's just the way he works in me. That is why I usually ask people to bring food when we have a big gathering. They seem to appreciate it too...my desserts are usually better than my dinners too. The idea is to just get together and have fellowship and fun and enjoy being together. It's always more fun if one person doesn't have to do everything! That's my philosophy and I'm sticking to it!! I have never liked to cook or to eat anything I cook so dinner company was usually dessert company.Susie - Walking Butterflyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11372339217547326555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2756675007223295900.post-85147959340303412012-07-29T19:59:31.287-04:002012-07-29T19:59:31.287-04:00Hey Pam! They did enjoy the pie...and we also had the opportunity to make it up to them with Christmas dinner, which of course was better than anything else they could've had on that other night! They were happy with the deal! I agree...writing (and proofreading) helps save face. Sometimes I get a little too trigger happy and publish before I totally proofread...and then, well, yep, embarrassed again. We are all human after all!!!Pamela M. I'm always thinking of what I shoulda done shoulda said...five minutes too late! :) One of the reasons I love writing (I can always take my time to get it right!) :)

Don't get down on yourself for this one... sounds like a miscommunication, but you gave them a wonderful homemade apple pie! Believe me... coming from a home where my mom made fabulous pies that you just can't get anywhere anymore... I know that was the treat they remembered from your night (topped by good conversation and a great new invite! :) Good story... I was just thinking of my mom's pies and a post to write, when I saw your post
here... Our guest walked into the kitchen, saw the roast and said, "Your kitchen floor looks freshly mopped. If it were me, I'd just pick it up and serve it anyway." I was shocked but we both laughed and enjoyed the roast anyway! :)Jennifer Dempseyhttp://www.joscelynsjourney.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
