I do appreciate it. God was very gracious and kept me occupied with my beautiful family here and our church family. Although I missed Matthew tremendously, my heart was not too sad because I KNOW where he is and that he would want me to enjoy the living. We will have all of eternity to enjoy each other again someday. I comfort myself with those thoughts and promises.
Pamela M. I think God was telling you how proud of you He was in forgiving your friend. And yes, I will pray for her. Thank you for asking.
May we always pray for our friends, because as Job learned, it's the key to God's heart. And as you showed us all, love heals!
Happy Mother's Day Pam. I am thinking of you on this day, which has to be a joy, but a little sad too.
Blessings,
CeilCeilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06293917798735764739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2756675007223295900.post-91992606647869183042015-02-16T20:21:32.605-05:002015-02-16T20:21:32.605-05:00Yes, I think it is something that we tend to "...Yes, I think it is something that we tend to "overlook" when we are asking God to answer our prayers. And forgiveness is something that is good for us, even if the one being forgiven doesn't accept or care about it...or they may not really "deserve" it, but it helps us to grow in our own faith and relationship with the Lord when we can let go of the hurts and let God take care of the rest. Such a breath of fresh air for our souls.
Pamela M. It's tucked away at the end of the story, and I think we've always skipped over that particular phrase and just focused on the fact that God restored everything back to Job, even twice as good as before...but it wasn't until Job PRAYED for his friends! Very interesting indeed.
Pamela M.
