Some Days You Just Gotta ....(Fill in the Blank)

Today is SONday, the Lord's Day...And some days you just gotta:

Rejoice!

"This is the day the Lord has made;
We WILL rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 118:24

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey."
Zechariah 9:9

REST!

"Come to Me, all you who labor
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and
My burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

Be Spiritually Minded!

"For to be carnally minded is death,
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
Romans 8:6

Give Praise!

"I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
and I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable."
Psalm 145:1-3

These were some of the scriptures we read together this morning!
What a beautiful way to start and spend the Lord's Day.
Then, a friend forwarded the following video to me of this group of Lee University students singing

"What A Beautiful Name"

And that was like the proverbial "icing on the cake"
to this time of personal worship and praise.

Yes, some days you just gotta Praise the Beautiful Name of Jesus!
I hope your "SONday" has been a day of rejoicing, rest, setting your mind of spiritual things, and giving praise to
The Beautiful Name of Jesus.

Photos were taken on a ride to a favorite
place we like to get away to and just rejoice and rest in the Lord.

Have a blessed and beautiful day my friends.

  5. Wonderful, Pam! My Sonday was extra special as we visited our former pastor's church; he is retired, but filling in as a needed supply preacher. Oh, how delightful it was to see him, his wife, and to hear his sermon!
    Loved your restful photos and the joy-filled Scripture.
    Blessings!

  6. Oh Pam, what a wonderful post. I had a nice, relaxing Sonday. It was so nice to see the beauty of God's creation as I drove to and from services. All creation does praise the Lord! Thinking I need to do more of that myself.

    Blessings!
