The Secret Garden Chronicles - Your Love Lord...Reaches to the Heavens - Revisited

(This is a repost from 5/2/2017, but it just seemed appropriate to repeat for today,
SONday, May 6, 2018)

This evening as I sat in the Secret Garden I was thinking about all the things that are happening around us...in our family, home, friends, church, community and nation...world...
and I paused to give thanks to the Lord for the positive things, first of all,  right here on the home front, in our family...answers to prayer, joyful hope and promises being fulfilled, protection on the road, job/work related issues...potential future events...all good things...even the situations that may appear not so good on the surface have a positive impact on the overall purpose and plan of God if we just trust Him...

And as I sat there my eyes were directed to

Psalm 36:5-10

5.  "Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

6.  Your righteousness is like the great mountains;

Your judgments are a great deep;

O Lord, You preserve man and beast.

7.  How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!

Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

8.  They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

9.  For with You is the fountain of life;

In Your light we see light.

10.  Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You,
And Your righteousness to the upright in heart."

And as I read these powerful verses of worship and adoration to our God and Savior, I thought of this song by Third Day, which is based on this same Psalm:

Thank You, Lord, for Your Mercy, Faithfulness, Righteousness, Judgments, Lovingkindness, and Abundant Fullness and Satisfaction to Your children and Your house....Thank You for Jesus Christ, the Eternal Fountain of Life...and for Your Light that is shown upon our lives.  We give You praise, Dear Father...and lift our voices to worship You, My King.
Amen.

  1. That is one of my very favorite psalms and the first song that came to mind was an old one, Your Steadfast Love sung by Kelly Willard. I sing it to myself often.
