The Window is Open Wide!!!!

What a day this was!!!  Those of you who have been following this blog since day one know that I began this because another door had been closed to me regarding a job.  My premise was that "When God closes a door, He always opens a window."  Writing this blog was the window that God chose to open for me.  It has been a daily challenge and discipline to take the time to listen to what the Lord was speaking to my heart, and then finding ways to share it with you.

Many of you have been praying for me as you discovered that what I really needed was a job!  I have been seeking employment for over eight months, with many many interviews, 2nd interviews, and hopes and dreams shattered along the way.  But...what I learned during the process was that God was protecting me from moving into situations that may not have been the best for me...and also making it possible for me to be free to pursue some other dreams...like attending the Florida Christian Writer's Conference last week!  That was a miracle in itself!  Had I already started a new job it would have been difficult for me to have that time available to attend the conference.  I would have really missed out on a great blessing!

Today a miracle happened.  Actually two days ago, when I received a call from a place in which I had already interviewed for a job, but had not been chosen.  They now had a new position, one that was even better than the previous...one where I would actually be supervising the person in the position for which I had originally interviewed!  They asked if I was still available and interested...of course you know what I said!
To make a long story short, today I was hired for that position, and I will actually start tomorrow morning!!! This position is better than any other I have applied for during these past eight months! It is at a church, which is where my heart is...in ministry.  It is a miracle to me in so many ways.

What I am asking of you, dear friends, is that you remember to pray for me as I begin this new position. I will need your prayer support even more now than before.  I am humbled by this opportunity and amazed at God's gracious goodness shown to me.  I pray that I will be worthy of this calling.

It is my greatest desire and plan to continue writing this blog on a regular basis. It may become difficult in the next couple of weeks as I learn my new job, but you will always be on my heart and mind.  I hope this will actually give me some "new material" to write about!

So, here I go...going through this brand new "open window" that God has set before me.  Won't you come along on this journey with me?  Buckle up! It's sure to be an adventure!!

God bless you all! Love in Christ,   Pam
